PLANTAIN is a very delicious meal to eat an very nutritious, most people who are advanced in age are recommended to eat unripe plantain often because of the health benefits it has.
Today I am happy to share with you my plantain and source recipe. I made it from unripe plantain, it is so delicious.
First of all I will tell the ingredients used in preparing this food.
INGREDIENTS USED
- Unripe plantain
- tomato paste
- onions
- pepper
- seasoning cube
- Groundnut oil
- Crayfish
- Salt
STEPS IN PREPARING IT
Step 1: peel off the plantain and wash it properly, cut it into smaller pieces to allow it soften quickly.
Step 2: Pour them into the cooking pot, add water and put it on fire. Leave it for 30minutes.
Step 3: When the plantain is soft and done, add a normal quantity of salt, and filter it using a filtering can.
Step 4: grind your crayfish and pepper, cut your onions, unwrap your seasoning cube, make your tomatoes ready. In other words make all ingredients ready.
Step 5: place a dry pot on the fire, add your Groundnut oil in it.
Step 6: add the cut onions and stir for some seconds.
Step 7: pour in your tomatoes paste and stir it till it is done, to avoid sour taste.
Step 8: when it is done, add your crayfish and pepper, with seasoning cube, stir it properly, allow it to cook for few minutes.
Step 9: it is done , enjoy your tomatoes sauce with the boiled unripe plantain.
BENEFITS OF EATING PLANTAIN
- Plantain contains high clotting factor which help blood clot when ever there is a cut in the body.
- there is iron and fibre content in it.
- It has vitamin C content in it.
