Hi Steemians! How many of you have eaten frozen jellof?. I don't think anyone in this community must have. Anyway, in today's diary I will be teaching you all How to cook frozen jellof.


How to cook frozen jellof


Please permit me. I was suppose to display myself in the picture, but while taking this few picture it skipped my mind, because I was rushing to school. In my next dairy, I will display myself too.

Ingredients

What is Frozen jellof?

Frozen jellof is rice in golden colour.

Ingredients:

Thyme, Curry, Star Maggi, Sliced Green pepper, green beans, Sliced Red pepper, Mortared Crayfish, Chopped Onions, Salts, Sardine, Vegetable leaf water, Rice, water, chicken, Bama.

Preparations:

  • Boil and parboil the rice
  • After parboiling, add water again and boil until it becomes soft.
  • Add half-teaspoon of salts, depending on the quantity of rice
  • Stir everything together, so that part of the rice would not taste salty than the other.
  • Transfer the rice into a clean sieve.

Prepare the pot again, by drying it on fire to avoid water particles

  • Add vegetable leaf water and allow it to cook for 1 minutes.
  • Add thyme, curry and red pepper. Stir it and allow it for 10 seconds.
  • Add other ingredients above exception of green pepper, chicken and sardine.
  • Add the cooked rice and stir everything together. Check if it's sweet. If it isn't, add small salt and stir again.
  • After 3 minutes, add sardine, chicken and green pepper.

Note: Don't stir it yet. Close the pot and allow it to boil for few seconds.

  • After that, open the pot lid and use your big spoon to stir everything together. Check if the water in it has totally dried, if yes, then bring down the pot, off your gas or stove and then serve yourself and family.....

Benefits of Eating Frozen rice?

  • Vegetable water is highly rich in haemoglobin and myoglobin.

  • Sardines and Chicken are rich in protein and fats.

  • Rice is an energy giving food.

Note: Rice is a blood sugar when consume which can be broken down to maltose, glucose, ATP and ADH. It can also be stored as glycogen in the liver for future use.
