Pizza is very popular all over the world but during this lockdown period, it is not possible to go outside and eat pizza.
Pizza is as easy as any other dish to make at home. In pizza, base and sauce are the most important. Although pizza base and sauce both are available in the market but making pizza base at home is extremely satisfying.
The homemade pizza base is hygienic, healthy and very economical also.
Making pizza base at home is also fun in the kitchen.
Here I want to share my experience of making pizza dough (Vegan)
Ingredients-
All-purpose flour 500 gm
Active dried yeast 25 gm
Herbs 1 tsp Olive oil 1-2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Water
Procedure-
- Dissolve 1/2 tsp sugar in 1/2 a cup of lukewarm water in a bowl of the capacity of about 1 litre.
- Sprinkle dried active yeast over the water.
- Stir vigorously to make a semisolid pasty mixture.
- Cover it and keep aside for about 15 minutes. It will be 2-3 times in volume after 15 minutes.
- Take 500 gm all-purpose flour and keed with this yeast paste. Add more water as required.
- Add herbs, salt and olive oil during the kneading process. Knead a smooth dough.
- Cover it with a wet cloth and keep at warm place for about 2 hours.
- After 2 hours it will be double in volume.
- Your dough is ready to make a delicious pizza base.
