Presenting learning material as a teacher in which I am mastered

I still remember that being a teacher in covid lockdown I delivered online lectures to students and from that time always when classes shift to online because of any natural disaster or any other problem in country,I always remain engaged and active with my students in online learning material.

This is I am sharing my communication skills as a teacher in my subject in video of more than 7 minutes I have shared above about projection of vectors.

A description of the material you create, so that it can be understood by many other users

If I talk about my video learning material then it was projection of a vector explained by me in this video which is phenomenon to find out component of one vector which lies in direction of other vector. In other words, it is a way of "projection" of one vector to another vector.

How to find out projection of vector?

For finding projection of vector you need to suppose that there's an a vector which is at b do for this you can use the following formula;

proj_b(a) = (a · b) / ||b||^2 * b

Following are the values you need to consider to find out projector of a vector;

• a and b are the two vectors you need to consider first.
• a · b is the dot product of vectora and vectorb
||b|| is magnitude or length of vector b

This is a formula used for providing component of a which lies in direction of b. The resultant is a vector which is parallel to b and has a magnitude or length which is directly proportional to dot product of a and b.

If you want to find out projection of vector then you can put following imaginary values into the formula I have provided above;

So suppose;

a=(2.3)
b=(4,0)
Now projection of a at b would be;

proj_b(a) = (2, 3) · (4, 0) / ||(4, 0)||^2 * (4, 0) = (2, 0)

Is it important for a teacher or instructor to have communication skills? Why is it important and why not?

If I talk about my personal point of view then I think communication skills of teacher or instructor matters a lot so I would like to elaborate my point of view in some points;

Why communication skills are important

• Communication skills are most important because deep concepts, complex ideas and compiling a lot of knowledge in clear and most concise manner depends on communication skills of teacher.
• Communication skills are important for building trust and rapport for development of positive relationship between teachers and students fostering respect and motivation.
• Communication skills are important for teachers because it enhances engagement of users because if communication skills are good then students will feel free to ask questions or queries they have in their mind.
• Communication skills are important because they are useful for supporting learning requirements like students can freely tell about learning style of teacher ,ability and proficiency of language.

• Communication skills are important for receiving feedback from students and for assessing progress of students and for existing instructions from teacher according to feedback received from students.
• Communication skills are important for teacher for promoting management of classroom in an effective ways because through good communication skills are teacher may manage conflicts and behaviour of students without any negative effects.
• Communication skills are important for teacher because through good communication skills critical thinking and problems can be sort out while it will be difficult to convey concepts if communication skills are not well developed.

Some people says that communication skills don't matter much and following are the reasons that why they are not important according to some people

• Some people think that teacher should be more expert in his or her subject than their communication skills because if there is no group on subject then how much good communication skills are it doesn't matter.
• Some people think that communication skills of teacher don't matter much because students can learn through learning material teacher provide don't learn through communication skills of teacher.

What experiences do you have when creating these online learning materials, and what obstacles do you face?

If I talk about experience and obstacles I have faced while giving an online video learning material by explaining my topic projection of vectors then these are following;

Experiences

• My experience with delivering online learning material was a requirement of dividing complex mathematical concepts into bite size related to my topic projection on vectors for making easy to understand by breaking concepts in pieces.
• My experience with online learning material was to visualize abstract concepts like vectors and planes in an informative and engaging way.
• In online learning materials I experienced incorporation of interactive tools and stimulations for helping learners for exploring and to have a deep understanding of concepts.
• According to my experience about online learning materials I strive for providing real world applications and examples of vector projections for helping my students or learners to see that how much concept is relevant and it has importance in real life also.

Obstacles

• It was an obstacle and challenge for me to make sure that my formulas are presented to my students in precise way and calculations are updated or not.
• It was an obstacle for me in online learning material to give an understanding of vector projections to students as it was an abstract concept.
• I feel it very challenging and as an obstacle in online learning material two maintain a balance in theoretical explanation and practical applications because in online you cannot give practical applications understanding to students in a more engaging and informative way.
• It was an obstacle for me to keep learning engaged with students in online learning material because students also get lazy in online system so it was big challenge for me to do something like this like to make my communication skills perfect to engage students and to have constructive feedback from them continuously to know that they are understanding me or not.

Assalamualaikum bro @khursheedanwar How are you, first of all, I would like to thank you very much for inviting me to participate in this contest. I have listened to your complete video lecture. Glad to hear you seem like a professional teacher.

In the field of education / teaching, if you work hard be sure you will earn a great name. Why did I say this to you? Because your communication skills are very good. 100/100.

Those who have good communication skills are more liked by people. I read about Vectors in Inter. And today I heard you gave a wonderful lecture. It was like listening to your lecture.

What you have explained in detail about projection of vector is much appreciated. As you have explained the topic with easy steps, even a non-physics student will understand.

Not everyone has good teaching skills and communication skills. But you have both qualities. I am not praising you for making you happy, but it is the truth.

What did you tell your students at the end of the lecture to draw the components of the B vector? So after listening to your lecture, I was able to make them easily.

May Allah bless you always and grant you success in every field, Ameen

Best Wishes 😍 Always be happy

Regards!

@hamidrizwan

Wasalam!
I am happy to see you at my post and thanks for responding me and for appreciating my Communication skills much.Yes I am a lecturer in college and teach students of intermediate level as you are saying that you learned about this topic at intermediate level.I wish that Allah bless you too.Thank you for wishing best for me!!
