Well, today I will be sharing with guys on how to cook pumpkin soup. We call it ofe ugu in my language.Hope you will learn something from my post . Thanks to @ngoenyi for organising this wonderful contest.

This are the ingredients I used in preparing the pumpkin soup, and they really made it delicious.
Cocoyam
Red oil
Maggi
Crayfish
Ice fish
Pepper
Salt .
Ogili (Igbo's Maggi)

Step1
Wash and boil your cocoyam until it is soft and able to grind, then grind it properly until no balls are seen. After grinding, put it in your cooking pot and set aside.
The cocoyam after grinding is already inside my cooking pot.
Step2
Wash, remove your pumpkin leaf from the step, and cut it into pieces or any way you want it; after that, set it aside.

Set your cooking pot containing the grinded cocoyam on fire, put your red oil inside, cover and cook for five minutes.
When the food starts boiling, add your Maggi, salt, pepper, ogili, crayfish, fish, or meat inside the soup and stir together.
Step4
Stir and cover to cook for 10 to 20 minutes until the ingredients are joined together.
Step5
After 10 minutes, check and stir to know whether the fish and other ingredients had cooked well, then add your pumpkin leaf and stir together.
After adding the pumpkin leaf, cover the soup and cook it for another 5 minutes.
Check and add any seasoning if there is any need.
If there is not, then bring it down from fire.
Now that your delicious pumpkin soup is ready, you can now enjoy it with any swallow of your choice.
