Anemia is a condition in which the blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin. This can result in fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, and pale skin. Causes of anemia include iron deficiency, vitamin B12 or folate deficiency, chronic diseases, and genetic conditions.
