This weeks featured bird is a Downy Woodpecker in my Indian Magic Crab Apple tree.

Bird Watching Notes

Downy Woodpecker

The Downy Woodpecker likes take peanuts from the feeder back to one particular knot on the Indian Magic Crab Apple tree.

The Downy Woodpecker stays ever vigilant of its surroundings. You never know when a predator is going to swoop into the area.

After consuming the peanut the woodpecker repeats the process until having its fill of peanuts.
