What is Plagiarm?
Anyone?
Yes Mark...

  • Mark; Its defined as copying someone elses work.

  • Teacher; thats close but your answer is incomplete. Can someone help make finish his definition?..
    Yes Sofia...?

  • Sofia; Plagiarism is presenting someone else's work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement source

  • Teacher; correct Sofia..very correct. your answer is based on google search which indicated that source of the definition and giving credit of work to the creator.
Can anyone define it in their own words?
    anyone??
    Yes Brian..

  • Brian; P L A G I A R I S M in my own words😁

  • Teacher; ....??

  • The whole class; 😂😂😂

  • Teacher; haha Brian(sacarsm) anyone else?
    Yes Sofi..

  • Sofia; Plagiarism is using and claiming the work of others without giving the writer.. Artist or creator credit.

  • Teacher; very good..
Can anyone give me examples ..

  • Mark; an example is when Brain copies Sofias Assignment.😒

  • Teacher; okay no picking on Brian

There are several types of plagiarsm..we have..

  • Direct plagiarism; which is the copying of someone elses work.. Word for word..

  • Self plagiarism. Its copying your own work from a previous class or period and submitting to a teacher or supervisor.. Without permission from the everyone involved.

  • Mosaic Plagiarism also known as Patch writing, is using quotes from someone's work without using any quotation or mark down.

  • Accidental Plagiarism.
When you unintentionally use a quote or line from someone's work or forget to put the source of work or a case of misquotation.

-Sofia; Sir, How do you stop and avoid plagiarism.?

-Teacher; we do so by implementing the following...

  • Do not copy and paste if you most indicate with quotes to indicate.
  • always use citations to show the audience exactly where that phrase or work came from.
  • limit the amount of quotations you use in your work using too many will makw the work lack original content
  • always ask permision from the author. Or artist if you can and if you can not ask them directly use a citation
  • taking images and videos is also plagiarism ..most of the photos we use and download online arent free but there are several website where you can download and use free content(images)

In Conclusion,

Always try to bringout your own ideas and thoughts which guides your creativity to produce original content. Do research on the work of previous artist and those that came before you to better understand your research topic and tag them on the reference of your work indicating you were guided by the example of this person work. Doing a referenc of a citation on a piece of work doesnt only help give credit to the author but also help others who are. Doing research as well to find relevant or helpfull information.

  • Teacher; this marks thw end of this class i hope everyone has understood and wont be a victim of plagiarism in the future.
In our nect clasd we'll be Doing Achievement 4.

Thank you.

Remark:

i have read and understood the steemit etiquette on steemit community and will do my best to embrace them.
