Negative vibes: is it really Earth day?

We have been asphyxiated for many days by the bad news of the media and interned in our homes, many people with their family, others alone. Millions of people who have changed habits, who do not work, people who have undergone an alteration of the biological cycle, who have lost their autonomy, the freedom to participate in daily life, the natural one. Young people who have lost the opportunity to attend school as a training institution with the classic live methods.

We also have an inequality among pupils who do not have access to education because they lack technological tools, because of poverty or inefficiency of state services. Millions of people who have lost or are losing their jobs and who live below the poverty line and who will not be able to integrate into the economic and social fabric. It is difficult to predict how and when this pandemic will end and what measures we will continue to take to avoid return infections, as is happening in Singapore and China.

Do I see the light at the end of the tunnel?

No, I don't see anything at the bottom of the tunnel like hundreds of millions of people. I think that social distancing will become the next model of behavior and communication between men, and will go on for a long time in a scenario organized by the governments of many countries that will appoint technicians and bureaucrats to manage our future.

We will be managed by apps and technocrats who will sanction what is lawful and what is not. Another terrible scenario will be that linked to our typicality, not only to our customs and habits, but to our human actions, to our affectivity. All the manifestations and effusions inherent in the nature of the human being, such as kisses, hugs, handshakes, caresses will have a brake established by rules or patterns of behavior. Everything will be regulated according to pre-established, regulated and punishable canons and criteria.

Don't you think it's a possible scenario?

Perhaps I exaggerate but the example of the current social organization that we now have in Italy does not differ from my prediction and listening to experts, doctors and scientists, it seems that restrictive measures can become a practice of behavior. We have always believed ourselves healthy in a sick planet, but the reality is very different, because it is we who are sick who have infected the earth and we certainly will not come out of it with rules, practices and penal or administrative sanctions.

The sudden fall of our securities coincides perfectly with the current state of the planet which is deeply ill, in the atmosphere, in the seas, in the waters, in the forests, in the extinction of living species.

Many wonder where is our god?

This question came from a distressing request for justice and salvation, the collapse of certainties and the global insecurity of a clear vision of the future offers us an alternative, an old way, religion.

I think that the real way of salvation can only be followed with drastic changes, new eco-sustainable development models, energy from renewable sources, demilitarization, reforestation of rainforests, progressive decrease in meat consumption, development of strategies to reduce inequalities social and recognition of the rights of all minorities and equal opportunities.

Such a program, already exists on paper, in fact has its first definitions back in 1972 with the Stockholm conference on the human environment. Dozens of summits and conferences have followed on our planet, I mention only a few:
the Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro (1992) where an action program called Agenda 21 arises.

Then in Johannesburg in 2002, the World Summit on Sustainable Development, but every year our planet has been the subject of world interest, then arriving at the Kyoto Protocol where more than 180 countries signed a document for the progressive reduction of the use of sources non-renewable energy sources.

I close with the great disappointment that was the New York Climate Action Summit of 23 September 2019 convened by the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

He had a twofold objective, one to increase ambition to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the second to favor concrete actions in the real economy in support of these objectives.

Result?

Nothing, just the awkward silence from the greats of the planet. A couple of months later Earth's answer will come, harsh and ruthless, as we have been with her.

Vibrazioni negative: spray e acrilici su tela - è veramente il giorno della Terra?

Siamo da molti giorni asfissiati dalle pessime notizie dei media e internati dentro le nostre case, molte persone con la propria famiglia, altre da sole. Milioni di persone che hanno cambiato le abitudini, che non lavorano, persone che hanno subito un'alterazione del ciclo biologico, che hanno perso l'autonomia, la libertà di partecipare alla vita quotidiana, quella naturale.

I giovani che hanno perso la possibilità di frequentare la scuola come ente formativo con le modalità classiche dal vivo.
Abbiamo inoltre una sperequazione tra alunni che non hanno accesso all'struzione perchè mancano di strumenti tecnologici, per povertà o per inefficienza dei servizi statali. Milioni di persone che hanno perso o stanno perdendo il posto di lavoro e che vivono al di sotto della soglia di povertà e che non sarà possibile integrare nel tessuto economico e sociale. E' difficile prevedere come e quando finirà questa pandemia e quali saranno le misure che continueremo ad adottare per evitare i contagi di ritorno, come sta accadendo a Singapore e in Cina.

Vedo la luce in fondo al tunnel?

No, non vedo nulla in fondo al tunnel come centinaia di milioni di persone. Penso che il distanziamento sociale diventerà il prossimo modello di comportamento e di comunicazione tra gli uomini, e andrà avanti per molto tempo in uno scenario organizzato dai governi di molti Paesi che nomineranno tecnici e burocrati preposti alla gestione del nostro futuro. Saremo gestiti da app e da tecnocrati che sanciranno cosa sia lecito e cosa no.

Un altro terribile scenario sarà quello legato alla nostra tipicità, non solo ai nostri usi e costumi, ma al nostro agire umano, alla nostra affettività. Tutte le manifestazioni e le effusioni insite nella natura dell'essere umano, come i baci, gli abbracci, le strette di mano, le carezze avranno un freno stabilito da regole o da schemi di comportamento. Sarà tutto regolamentato secondo canoni e criteri prestabiliti, normati e sanzionabili.

Non credete che sia uno scenario possibile?

Forse esagero ma l'esempio dell'attuale organizzazione sociale che abbiamo ora in Italia non si discosta dalla mia previsione e ascoltando gli esperti, medici e scienziati, sembra che le misure restrittive possano diventare una prassi di comportamenti. Ci siamo sempre creduti sani in un pianeta malato, ma la realtà è molto diversa, perchè siamo noi i malati che hanno infettato la terra e di certo non ne usciremo con regole, prassi e sanzioni penali o amministrative.

La caduta repentina delle nostre sicurezze coincide perfettamente con lo stato attuale del pianeta che è profondamente malato, nell'atmosfera, nei mari, nelle acque, nelle foreste, nella estinzione delle specie viventi.

Molti si chiedono dov'è il nostro dio?

Questa domanda è venata da un'angosciante richiesta di giustizia e di salvezza, il crollo delle certezze e l'insicurezza globale di una chiara visione del futuro ci propone come alternativa una strada vecchia, la religione.

Penso che la vera via di salvezza si possa percorrere solo con cambiamenti drastici, nuovi modelli di sviluppo eco-sostenibili, energie da fonti rinnovabili, smilitarizzazione, rimboschimenti delle foreste pluviali, progressiva diminuzione del consumo di carne, sviluppo di strategie atte a ridurre le disuguaglianze sociali e al riconoscimento dei diritti di tutte le minoranze e le pari opportunità.

Un programma del genere, già esiste sulla carta, di fatto ha le sue prime definizioni nel lontano 1972 con la conferenza di Stoccolma sull'ambiente umano. Si sono susseguiti decine di summit e conferenze sul nostro pianeta, ne cito solo qualcuna il Summit della Terra a Rio De Janeiro (1992) dove scaturisce un programma di azione chiamato Agenda 21.

Poi a Johannesburg nel 2002, il Vertice Mondiale sullo Sviluppo Sostenibile, ma ogni anno il nostro pianeta è stato oggetto di interesse mondiale, arrivando poi al Il protocollo di Kyōto dove più di 180 Paesi sottoscrissero un documento per la riduzione progressiva dell'uso delle fonti energetiche non rinnovabili. Chiudo con la grande delusione che è stato il Climate Action Summit di New York del 23 settembre 2019 convocato dal Segretario Generale delle Nazioni Unite Antonio Guterres. Aveva in programma un duplice obiettivo uno, quello di accrescere l’ambizione per il raggiungimento degli obiettivi dell'Accordo di Parigi e il secondo di favorire azioni concrete nell'economia reale a sostegno di tali obiettivi.

Risultato?

Nulla, solo il silenzio imbarazzante dai grandi del Pianeta. Un paio di mesi più tardi arriverà la risposta della Terra, dura e spietata, come lo siamo stati noi con lei. Forse il coronavirus darà una piccola spinta a qualche cambiamento, non certo la fede.
