Companies spend millions each year developing and launching new products, of which only 10% are successful.

Nielsen suggests a new approach that should increase the odds of success to 75%.

He has tracking many launches and after that doing testing , he has giving few recommand tion which will help in companies should increase and change it success.

The process identifies, measures, and predicts success in a five-step cycle : salience, communication, attraction, selling, and endurance.

I - The time of salience

  1. A differentiated offer
    Is your product a real innovation, something that people really want? What is its value? The first step is therefore to assess whether your product has precise positioning.

  2. Attract attention
    No matter how innovative and effective it is, your product must gain attention in order to be sold. Focus on the interest and recognition it will generate.

II - The time of communication

  1. Make contact
    The product must market itself. Make sure your labeling / packaging enlightens the consumer on what the product is.

  2. A clear and concise message
    People have little time. Your message must therefore be brief, precise and to the point.

III - The time of attraction

  1. Create the need | desire
    Especially in times of recession, the product must meet a genuine consumer need. Convenience and ease of use are among the most important attributes of a successful product.

  2. Benefits
    Explain how your product is different. The consumer often has the choice between several similar products: your advantage must be obvious and attractive.

Second part include other 6 points which are added benifits and helpful for product launch.
