Today I will be discussing how the consumer are changing their taste and purchasing behaviour.
currently Consumer habits are changing they want everything, immediately and first. They always expect more from brands more connections, more interactions, more exceptions. In response to this development, new platforms have appeared, promoting the emergence of a new category of consumers, presumers. They are the new people in the product and buying capability.
A recent article analyzes this new trend and an infographic sums it up. Their behaviour vares from place to place and from product to product.
Who are the presumers ?
These are consumers who actively participate in the pre-launch of a product or service and want to try the product before everyone else try it in the market and they will review and give their experience also regarding the product. They want to get involved at multiple levels: design, product improvement, promotion and even crowdfunding. This not only helps companies to understand the buying needs of the people but also help in generating product and sales.
Presumers are willing to pay more for the premiere, for access to limited editions, previews or private launches.
We can this type of example in movies premiers etc. Apple has applied this strategy.
The presumers participate in storytelling brands they love to tell their story and are proud to say they have participated in a special event or have influenced the creation or launching a product.
What stimulates presumers is commitment for themselves or for a cause which partly explains the success of the new participatory crowdfunding and co-creation platforms.
This new people are willing to pay any cost to get the product which are exclusive and are expensive or in a niche market. Which help the company to get premium customer.

Really interesting read, I believe that companies really love to have premium customers and having premium customers who remain dedicated to a brand is a big win for companies.
