Renewable Energy - The Future Energy

in hive-175254 •  4 years ago

Coal, Petroleum and other fossil fuel is rather becoming uncomfortable and causing a lot of havoc to our environment and that is why the renewable alternatives such as wind, solar power, bio oil and water which require technology to harness is important. Although the technology to create or harness energy from this sources are still expensive and still developing, a lot of people are already buying into it.

Renewable energy are energies generated from sources that naturally renew/replenish themselves. Like I stated above, their sources include solar, hydro (water), wind, geothermal and biomass. Currently, 80% of the world still depends on fossil fuel for energy which includes petroleum, natural gas, coal, 10% uses nuclear power while the remaining 10% uses renewable source of power which includes wind, biofuel, wood, hydro-electricity, solar electricity, geothermal, and waste.

Renewable energy combats climate change, as there are no greenhouse gas emissions being produced from them. At the same time, the reduce pollutions. Renewable energy is a reliable source of power as it is always replenishing itself. Although, a few require battery to store their energy as they have to take natural effects, for example sunrise and sunset. . Using Lithium ion battery is what will be used to save the energy gotten from renewable energy is what is being used currently but one of the problem faced is that Lithium ion batteries do not save more than 4 hours of storage capacity but in the future, scientist are working to make storage better and last long else it won’t be able to complete with fossil fuel energy

Technological invention around renewable energy

Lots of researchers have been finding ways to harness as well as generate energy from renewable sources and in doing that have created some inventions around it. A few are

  • Whirlpool turbine
  • Waterotor turbine
  • The Giant flower solar panel
  • Home Biogas 2.0
  • Pavegen tiles
  • GoSun grill
  • EcoCapsule house powered by wind turbine
Will it be possible to satisfy the world’s energy demand with renewable energy?

The renewable industry is worth over $300 billion which is growing real fast
China has invested the most into renewable energy as they fear that oil might not do much in the future, also climate change is one thing that fears humans a lot, as well as they do not want to be left behind by other economic power. China has been investing in wind turbine as well as other renewable energy. They have been able to create over 3 million jobs in the solar technology.

@ajewa renewable energy is the must in today's condition, recently the ozone layer just recovered thanks to lockdown. till 2050 most to world will face drinking water problem.

True. The ozone layer recovered thanks to the lockdown. Fossil fuels are causing more harms than good.

Hi @ajewa

I particularly think that in order to meet the world's demand, progress will be required in this regard.
This is the case when you tell us that

...but one of the problems is that lithium-ion batteries do not save more than 4 hours of storage capacity, but in the future, scientists are working to make storage better and last longer, otherwise it cannot be supplemented with fossil fuel energy.
This is obviously only the tip of the iceberg. However, it is undoubtedly the alternative that man has to look for alternative solutions to society's demand in this respect. Thank you @ajewa

Thanks for the comment, i am glad you spent time to read my post.

Dear @ajewa

Interesting choice of topic. I often wonder, how will world economy look like if Oil will not be needed as much as it is needed today.

After all, most of international demand for USD comes from the fact that over 90% world transactions for oil are being done in USD. Which also enforces pretty much all countries to have some reserves in USD.

If Renewable Energy will "take over" then US hegemony will probably be over. Once and for all. I wouldn't expect that this will happen without a fierce fight.

Wouldn't you agree? I wonder what's your view on that issue.

Solid read. Upvoted already :))
