To investigate or rather to apply the scientific method in the social sciences, requires the application of the methodological framework area that has become a discipline, it tries to describe, explain and justify the theoretical foundations of the methods used in the different scientific sciences, to analyze them, to produce knowledge, including a series of criteria and rules that allow to value if this reaches or not the rank of scientific.
Taking into account that quantitative methods make up a set of conceptualizations and procedures to provide a numerical quality to the phenomena under study, quantitative research methodology works with aspects of reality that, besides being directly observable, are capable of being represented as numbers, that is, it converts all direct observation of a phenomenon into a number or a set of numbers that represent it, in order to then work with these numbers in statistical terms.
The methodological framework is a kind of starting point to generate valid knowledge, forming a set of methods and ways of proceeding, as well as criteria, guidelines, instruments, to minimize errors from a scientific approach, providing objectivity to the results obtained through an investigation.
Based on the above, and on what has been addressed so far, the objective is to help to obtain the necessary information that allows to analyze theoretical elements that are related to a certain topic of social research, where objective results are pursued.
Basically, what is dealt with here is a type of approach within the positivist current, which considers only the possibility of scientifically studying facts, phenomena, experimental data, the observable, the verifiable.
