I used to struggle with falling asleep and waking up feeling rested. Over time I realized that my evenings were a mess - I was scrolling through my phone, worrying about the next day, or staying up late for no reason. Once I decided to create a proper night routine everything changed. Let me share how I have made my nights more relaxing and my sleep so much better.
1. Winding Down Before Bed
The first thing I do is give myself time to unwind. About an hour before bed I try to step away from work, bright screens or anything that keeps my mind busy. Instead I do things that help me relax like reading a book, listening to calming music, or journaling.
One thing that made a big difference for me was reducing my screen time. I used to scroll on my phone right before sleeping but the bright light made it hard to fall asleep. Now I put my phone away and let my mind settle.
2. Setting Up a Comfortable Sleep Environment
I have also made changes to my bedroom to make it more sleep-friendly. For me having a clean and cozy space makes all the difference. I keep my room dimly lit and use soft pillows and blankets that feel comforting.
I have started keeping my room cool and quiet at night because it helps me fall asleep faster. If there’s too much noise I use white noise or earplugs to block it out. These little adjustments create an environment where I can truly relax.
3. Establishing a Sleep Schedule
One of the best things I did for myself was setting a consistent sleep schedule. I try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day even on weekends. It helps my body know when its time to rest.
I also avoid heavy meals and caffeine in the evening because they mess with my sleep. Drinking herbal tea or warm milk instead has become part of my routine and it signals to my mind that it’s time to wind down.
Creating a night routine has been a game-changer for me. Its helped me sleep better, wake up feeling refreshed, and stay more productive during the day. If you are struggling with sleep like I was try making small changes to your evenings - you’ll be surprised how much better you feel.
I sleep like a rock but the nights are short and I rarely feel rested. Too busy in my sleep. Next to that I always wake up early.
No stress and facing your problems at daytime helps.

That's quite detailed. Well, I love my sleep very much, so usually I fall asleep comfortably on my own, but some days for some reason, I face difficulty in sleeping and to avoid that, this routine can be followed. : )
