Greetings to all readers of this great platform, it is a great reality that the economic situation in many countries, and focusing on Venezuela is not the best, many people with jobs attached to a salary, are not enough to meet their needs and those of his family, which is why they make the decision to undertake the informal economy, in order to receive an additional income that allows them to meet the needs of your home.

There are many jobs where the salary is not even enough for 3 days of food at home, much less for the sustenance of your family, this is mainly because the wages and salaries in the country are very devalued, well below the average minimum wage in Latin America and wages that are a little higher, hopefully reach $100 per month, with which it is not possible to meet the needs of a household.

In the constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, it is established that a salary is that which is enough to cover your basic needs, such as health, education and food, but we know that the reality is different, since the basic basket, which is the amount of products necessary to feed a small family, exceeds $ 240 per month, which is more than 2 times a good salary in the country.

Now, people are forced to cover their needs in some way, that is where they start their way in the informal economy, which is where they start a small business, usually in their own home, with a little mass in front and begin to sell products that people require.

This initiative has been seen with greater force due to the pandemic, since many people saw the way to generate some income from home, without the need to go to a workplace, and many ended up adopting it as a way of life, ending up making a small bodega as it is popularly known in the country.

But despite all this economy is still considered as informal, mainly for not complying with the requirements of laws, such as a trade registry, licenses to sell, registration with the SENIAT and many other requirements that are requested, in addition to hiring a public accountant to keep the proper records, would end up being more expenses than the income you receive, which is why they decide to continue as an informal business.
