One of the most shocking discoveries is that sleep plays the function of cleaning the brain. It is well established that during, the process of sleep especially deep-sleep the glymphatic system in the brain flushes out the body or wash the brain with waste products such as beta-amyloid which is linked to alzheimer’s disease. This process might be disturbed by insufficient sleep, in this case, with the development of cognitive deterioration over time at risk.

In this light, sleep is also very important in immunity, muscles repair and hormones balance. This is the reason even if one becomes antibody to any illness due to long time sickness they end up sacking sleep and this causes other problems such as immune system to be stronger, mood and stress issues and among others.
