Usually people are very quick to make a first impression of you, and you always want that to be good. Thus, whenever you have an appointment with someone, do everything within your power to be there on time.

There's a certain kind of confidence that people quickly have in you, when they know that you're always punctual. They'll tend to provide more opportunities for you to meet other of their business associates. Hence, you'll be getting more businesses.

But for a second - think about someone who doesn't keep to time. Say for example, he has an appointment at 6pm, and the other party gets to the location of the meeting on time. But it's perhaps 6:45pm, and yet he hasn't arrived or called to explain why he's running so late.

You can see how annoying that could be for the other party that arrived on time, and had to be waiting for 45mins, and heard nothing from him. Even if he arrived at 6:48pm - and the meeting happens. They'll always have that notion that he's a late comer, and that's not good for your reputation.

There's a popular saying, "Better 3mins too early, than 3 seconds too late." Time is the most precious resource on Earth, and you have to treat it as such. And make sure that people who you work with, know that you respect time - as you're always punctual to appointments.

Punctuality is something that should be taken seriously. People have a lot of things to do than to wait for someone known for coming late.

Punctuality is extremely important, time is precious and no one wants theirs to get wasted, so when you have an appointment, I feel it is more than important to show up on time.
