Today I am going to write about a library of Python programming languages called Pandas. Here is a short definition of it:“Pandas is a software library written for the Python programming language for data manipulation and analysis. In particular, it offers data structures and operations for manipulating numerical tables and time series. It is free software released under the three-clause BSD license." Panda is a library that has many built-in methods to deal with tabular data. Tabular data is the data that consists of rows and cells, like in Microsoft Excel. The first time it was launched was in 2008. It was used to manipulate data or make an analysis of data. It is used mostly in machine learning or data science.
This is the first tool that ML (machine learning) engineers mostly start with. And it is quite easy to understand and learn; that’s why being a beginner is an edge for learners. Anyone can learn Pandas with basic knowledge of the Python programming language. It can read data from various files, like a JSON file, a CSV file, an Excel file, and so on. And similarly, it can also write data into these files. It can perform various operations on input data, like arranging data, sorting data in a specific order, deleting some values, or filling in some missing values. It can also perform mathematics operations on a large number of data points and perform basic import annotation methods like average, sum, etc.
Have you will to learn pandas ever?
