What is Internet

Greeting everyone @i-am-ejaaz from #Pakistan

Today I am going to write about the internet and we will read some basics and core concepts about the internet.

First of all, let me give a brief definition of the internet: “The Internet is a global network of billions of computers and other electronic devices." Actually the term internet is a collection of two words: international and network, which refers to a network that has been spread globally all over the world. When two or more computer devices are connected to each other to share information it is called a network. And similary, when this network works privately with any organization, it will be an intranet, and when this network expands all over the world and becomes public for individuals to join, it will be called the internet because this network covers all over the world and this is an international network, so in short, we use the internet instead of the international network.

This network is spread in every country and every village and street in any country. Anyone can join it after paying a small amount of money. There are also different ISP (internet service providers) companies in the world that provide us with internet services to our doorsteps or to our devices. These companies worked in a hierarchical manner at the state level, region level, city level, and so on. Every device connected to the internet has been assigned a specific identity number that is called an IP (internet protocol) address. Its like our cell phone number that is used to identify a user on internet. In my next blog, I will write about IP.

Now I am going to finish my blog with a short question: When did you use the internet for the first time?
