Is there a possibility of a wave of layoffs?

Hello Project Hope community, I hope your week is going great, in advance thank you for entering my publication and dedicating of your precious time to read it.

Today I'd like to talk about something I've been reading about lately, among so many things, and not exactly good things. Recently I wrote about a possible world famine that they are predicting, caused by different reasons, in which I can highlight the war in Ukraine, the big problem of the supply chain, among other things, and the famine will not be because of food shortage precisely but because of its high costs, I hope this really does not happen, but everything is possible.

But the other thing that has been in the news lately is the great wave of layoffs that is occurring, and that seems to be getting worse and worse. The problem of the global economy, the beginning of a recession, the great inflation, the considerable decrease in sales, the same problem of the supply chain is making that the "reduction of personnel " is one of the ways that companies are using to try to overcome these difficult times and those that probably- will come to be a little more complicated.

In a way I am glad to know that I am not an employee at the moment, because before the pandemic I worked as a salesman, and most probably in a "downsizing", being a foreigner I would have been one of the first to leave. But, not everything is so easy being independent in your economy, you must always be reinventing yourself, because markets change, costs go up, and you have to stay afloat.

I don't want to imagine what someone must feel having debts, for example houses, cars, etc, and having a "secure " job with a good salary, plus the fact that the interest on the loans goes up and additional joblessness....

It must not be an easy situation, it must be terrifying just to think about it. That is why the ideal is to be able to have several sources of income, because if one fails, the other can support you for a while, the same as having emergency funds. It is in these tough times that financial education and taking the necessary actions well in advance can save you.

I hope none of you who make a living here go through something similar to a layoff. Take care of yourselves.

Life in itself is filled with circumstances that can change on us at any point in time. Our finance basically controls every area of our lives.l and at such we should be prepared for chances by looking beyond our basic salary and make investment and saving that we can always fall back on.

With current economic situation in the world things are getting even tough at the moment having multiple source of income is not an easy task but its very important if one want to thrive through this economic process.
