Hello @Project.HOPE friends, today I bring you a topic that has been little addressed but from my perspective it is necessary to start touching, I am referring to decentralized identifiers, and I say that it must be addressed as it challenges everything we have achieved so far with Web 3.0.
For those who have not heard of decentralized identifiers, they are part of the decentralized identity management that is currently being developed as a new ecosystem with data storage and applications that will allow users to retain control of their personal information.
According to its developers, decentralized identifiers will lead to the implementation of Web 5.0 towards a hyperconnected world supported by the Bitcoin blockchain, whose implementation could probably be the most important contribution to the Internet.
In the words of Jack Dorsey, who is currently one of the leading entrepreneurs and a key player in the development of Web 5.0, he has indicated that his web standard will avoid the existing concepts envisioned by Web 3, is largely based on Ethereum and other blockchains that allow the integration of smart contracts for application development.
While Bitcoin is already a decentralized Internet, supported on multiple nodes deployed around the world, so based on this network, Dorsey's proposal is a web that does not rely on intermediaries or where users can interact without the possibility of being manipulated by unilateral interests.
For Dorsey, Bitcoin has not been considered an ideal ecosystem for application development, which is why he believed that Web 3.0 is the perfect structure to support the developing metaverse.

It is clear that we are on the right path toward mass adoption of Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency space where decentralization is truly in place.
I like Jack Dorsey as he is one of Bitcoin advocates, but I wonder why he chose to call his product "WEB 5"? We haven't seen Web 4 yet, is it a marketing move or something?
Thanks for the nice post. Have a good day :)

Hello friend @qsyal
It makes sense your question, I did some research and I think the reason is because, Web 4.0 already has developers and marketing is linked to the development of applications from all the information that exists on the web but with a natural language and Speech to text technologies, while the concept that Jack Dorsey raises with his Web 5.0 project is practically to create technology that can run on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Best regards, be well.
