Setting a Good First Impression while Working Remotely

A lot of us never had the plan to work remotely from home this year, in fact a friend of mine had planned to travel to 13 countries for conferences and meetings but at the beginning of the second quarter, he had done 5 of the meetings via Zoom. A lot of us never planned for this but we now end up working from home while so many people are now jobless. A lot of people have been looking for new jobs and the jobs available currently are remote working jobs, so how do you give a very good first impression and how do you perform well in it.

A lot of people want to employ people who are working remotely before than people who are not experienced with remote working. If you are going to start a new job remotely, then no one is concerned about your look and posture, what people are concerned about is the skill you have and what you can deliver. Your boss or senior colleague is concerned more with your skill and ability to solve problem and not how you can show your skill. Your boss is concerned with concerned about your digital quality is concern.

Unlike days when you are at work and you use the company lines, working from home means your gadget becomes your business property. Your phones, emails and PC should be available at all time for communication. Make sure you are visible when working from home as it isn’t easy to tell who is visible and who isn’t. Be available with Zoom to your fellow colleagues so they will know you are active and willing to work.

A lot of companies are now employing people to work remotely but when it comes to remote working, your physical skill isn’t needed, rather it is your skill working remotely that is needed to give you an edge.

I must say this pandemic is even the one that made me to be aware of what is called zoom I must say

Same with me, I initially thought they were a new company without knowing they have been existing for a long time .

I actually agree with your point here

A lot of companies are now employing people to work remotely but when it comes to remote working, your physical skill isn’t needed, rather it is your skill working remotely that is needed to give you an edge.

This is really very important because the more you are able to fulfill the task by submitting the work at the right time without any delay or lack of honesty, the more you tend to get more customers and projects which directly increases your earnings.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead

Certainly the truth, the more work is delivered on time the more deals you have to close.

Today is a reality, our lives have turned 180 degrees as far as work is concerned, fortunately a large majority of people have some knowledge in the digital part and is not so complex, so many people can acquire jobs that allow them to continue supporting their expenses, particularly I am working from home and so I protect myself.

Work has changed from what it use to be and what we have now is no longer the usual but self protection like you mentioned is very important too.

Working remotely holds different elements different from working at the office. Working remotely entails that you prove your worth and that can be done through finishing assigned tasks before the given deadlines.

Correct, some level of trust need to be built if employers are going to have to trust someone they cannot physically control in the first place.
