INTRODUCTION

line2.png

As it's now the weekend, it's time to summarize some of our weekly progress as a community and look back at events which unfolded and could affect our work. It's time to think about small the steps we're all going to take next week. Steps in which will help us to strengthen our community during this difficult times.

Let's start with the most important event. HF23 ...

WILL @project.hope BE AFFECTED?

line2.png

Many of us are probably wondering how the PH community would be affected by this increasing conflict. And my simple answer is: it definetly will be.

As many other projects out there, especially those of which who are trying to be NEUTRAL and supporting authors on both chains will be facing many unknown challenges and consequences.

We can obviously sit down and cry but I refuse to do so. Change is a threat for many, and opportunity for others. I see the current change as a number of short term blows, however it's also an opportunity to build new fruitful contacts.

Steemauto.com

One of the very first and really painful consequence will be the fact that Steemauto.com decided to shut down their services on STEEM blockchain. This will directly affect our curation trail in the most negative way.

The sudden lack of functioning curation trail is going to affect all of our rewards. At least in short term.

Good news is that ...

However, I'm already in close touch with an amazing developer @steem-supporter, who is trying to re-create steemauto using a publicly open code. It's a work in progress, however I've already seen first results and I'm FULL OF HOPE.

What is important to remember is that our goal is to STAY NEUTRAL within this conflict. And we're here to support quality content, published by active and supportive users, engaging with others within our community. Regardless of what blockchain they are using.

We also need to remember, that we (users) are real assets here, worth fighting for.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

line2.png

I would also like to remind to all PH community members, that I've limited the amount of upvotes which I can use to support your content and I need to spread them within group of over 80 active content creators. It's a very challenging task.

Please remember, to post maximum 3-4 times a week within our community. It's really difficult for me to support you with an upvote if you post more publications than that.

FINAL WORD

line2.png

That would be all for this week. It was surely a very upsetting week and seeing events unfolding around recent hard fork HF23 made me lose part of my trust and confidence towards the safety of fund stored on blockchain.

Hopefully next week will not shock us all with another unfolding dramma,

Yours,@crypto.piotr

No doubt that the affectation from HF23 put many things in doubt, the chain funds, obviously, will someone have my keys? I know that it is not much I possess, nor is it close to those 23 million. Can I trust that my account is safe? What other applications will go away from steem? How does this affect the vision that others might have of steem?
Many questions arise, at least for me.

The project has been affected, of course, at least in the short term, the distribution of votes in favor, at least until something can be created to replace steemauto.
It leaves as a lesson that there must be more similar options for the same end, one cannot depend only on one.

Staying neutral is best, but in this war of powers, certain forces can be exerted to force users to choose between one chain or another. I wouldn't be surprised, totally, by the actions that are being taken on both sides that seem to show that they could do whatever they want to tell them to do their will...
I'm still on both networks, I'm supposed to be free to do what I want with my account. At least in theory.

Another change coming is the departure of Steemmonster. They'll be moving to the other side that we all know. That will be a big blow to this platform.

But I'm sure we'll manage, wherever we are, to stay together as a community.

Maybe the changes are for the better, we've survived all this time. I'm sure we'll continue to do so.

I won't leave the ship

Let's keep on walking (I think I sounded like a commercial, hehe) ^_^

Indeed. I thought Splinterlands was drive in new traffic.

They're gonna move in June!

The only thing permanent is change and we must welcome it with open mind.
First of all, I like the fact that you are strongly a proponent of neutrality, instead of inheriting enemies. Just like you said, the purpose of Project Hope is to support quality contents irrespective of the chain it is made. Nice one.

Please remember, to post maximum 3-4 times a week within our community

I do not post more than twice a week (sometimes, once a week) in the community, so that the votes can go round.

Cheers buddy

I want to be like SWITZERLAND! :D

Hello dear @crypto.piotr, thanks for this beautiful update.

We can obviously sit down and cry but I refuse to do so.

That fighting spirit that characterizes you, is the force that pushes this ship (Project HOPE), they are the options that we have, we decide to stay on our feet, face adversity, adapt to changes and continue in battle.

Simply beautiful!

We also need to remember, that we (users) are real assets here, worth fighting for.

Totally agree with you, it is true that here there are many monetary interests, but the most valuable asset on these platforms is the people, the users.

Thank you friend, although you announce some unfortunate events, you influence your words through encouragement.

Hi Piotr :

Many of us are probably wondering how the PH community would be affected by this increasing conflict. And my simple answer is: it definetly will be.

It is an undeniable reality, but personally I see a gigantic opportunity to change paradigms and create a new and "powerful" path for @project.hope, I think we should propose strategies, plan various short / medium / long term contingency plans and decide by majority vote the way forward.

Please remember, to post maximum 3-4 times a week within our community. It's really difficult for me to support you with an upvote if you post more publications than that.

As you well know, I publish once a month, in addition to weekly community reports. So for me there is no inconvenience about it

However, I'm already in close touch with an amazing developer @steem-supporter, who is trying to re-create steemauto using a publicly open code. It's a work in progress, however I've already seen first results and I'm FULL OF HOPE.

It is a great initiative, I see a future in it, I think we should get in touch with @steembasicincome since I think they have a tool that is a custom code to make votes without depending on steemauto or third party intervention. It is important to ask them for advice, or maybe talk to join efforts? I don't know, I raised the idea here because It seems to me an initiative (to have our own code or automatic voting system that depends solely on us)that we must take into account, and that I think will strengthen @project.hope as a community.

Hopefully next week will not shock us all with another unfolding dramma,

All this shows and drama has me exhausted, but I remain optimistic and I know that that at some point everything will end to give way to develop and grow, without obstacles and without so many rumors, that delay our goals. In this sense, I hope the same as you.

Thanks for supporting us and being a reference for everyone, personally thanks for being my friend! 👍

Wow. Appreciate this amazing comment @reinaldoverdu

I think we should get in touch with @steembasicincome since I think they have a tool that is a custom code to make votes without depending on steemauto or third party intervention.

SBI isn't way for us to go forward. I don't see us having anything in common. Plus SBI is considered by many users nothing but "circle jerking" group.

Anyway, Thx for suggestion

SBI is incorrectly maligned as a 'circle jerking' group. In fact, anyone running a curation trail is more accurately described as a 'circle jerk' than we are.

We provide account-level curation subscriptions (individuals sponsor other accounts for ongoing curation, and for doing so they receive a share of our curation rewards as votes on their own account).

We have supported over 2000 Steem accounts in the last month, and 2/3 of the supported accounts have never sent anything to SBI in exchange for our support (they were sponsored by others).

Greetings dear @crypto.piotr, thank you very much for this update and bring us up to date with everything that happened at HF23 and especially the opinion of our PH community.

My opinion:

It's a complicated scenario that is happening at the moment in the Steem block chain, these are very difficult times, so the best thing we can do is keep working as we have been doing, constancy will make us prevail in any situation.

For this reason I make a call to all PH content creators, to make this community and Steemit a place where we can share quality content and support many more users, encourage them to continue publishing, look for these people who are still in the chain and guide them.

On the other hand in this chain many of course we looked for to obtain yield and some tokens, but we must continue supporting to the greater number of people, since these are the pillar of the chain and the life of the blockchain in if, is a lamentable news the one of Steemauto, but I have faith that the developer who I mention, can help us with this and let us return to congregate again.

STEEM ON

@lenonmc21

Wow. Appreciate this amazing comment @lenonmc21

I rarely post anything, so you don't need to worry about me posting too often. I'm the type of guy who mainly comments on posts written by other people.

How come you post so rarely @mtl1979?

I don't like writing long texts...

As you may have noticed from my recent infrequent posting, my motivation has been affected by the many recent changes and controversies.

It's rather discouraging to see what was a strong and vibrant community fracture and splinter, and descend into bickering and infighting.

Let's hope that most of the changes turn out for the better, so that we can confidently continue our work on this otherwise great platform.

hi @majes.tytyty

Sorry for late reply.

As you may have noticed from my recent infrequent posting, my motivation has been affected by the many recent changes and controversies.

I can only hope that you will not be discouraged fully and you will continue your amazing work. Not because of steem or steemit. But because of us. People on that platform.

Yours Piotr

I'm not so much "discouraged" as simply unmotivated / lazy. But thanks for your input and encouragement.

I'll try to make a bit more effort ... for you and other great people on this platform.

for you and other great people on this platform.

And for yourself :) Since you're one of the greatest :)

Hello @project.hope and @crypto.piotr,

I believe this is the good way to handle this situation as PH never took any public stand except made clear that it will remain NEUTRAL and will not actively be part of this forks or as some others would call: Drama.

SteemAuto fixing is something we definitely need and I am quite happy that you feel confident we will have a solution soon.

As you mentioned, some stakeholders do not have the time to curate manually and trust other community members.

Overall, this is full of Hope, isn't it what you were shooting for :D !

@vlemon

Truth be told, change is the only constant thing in life, when it comes, we should glady accept it with the whole of our heart. I am happy that you stated the motive of Project hope, it intention to support content writers. This you didnt deviate from, we are grateful.

I will love to see more support coming to project hope in the near months. Thanks for staying neutral and maintaining both chain on the on going crises. As per content, we should learn to follow the laid down guidelines while posting to Project hope community @crypto.piotr

thanks for your kind comment @preciousbaby

Thank you @crypto.piotr for your always timely implementation of strategies for the benefit of all of us who are part of PH.
One of the ways to eliminate obstacles is the timely application of strategies, in the current environment of platforms, caution should be exercised. We must continue working and hope that we have a happy ending to this situation.

So far the creation of Hive have been beneficial for us as we have doubled our money without investing anything on Steem or Hive. However, I am missing steemauto as now I am not getting enough votes for my posts. So, I am considering to be less active as it is not worth to spend my time on unprofitable things.

Hi @akdx

So, I am considering to be less active as it is not worth to spend my time on unprofitable things.

Aren't you worried that once you stop being active, then you will lose a lot? Obviously it's hard to come back.

Plus profits from quality posts within PH are still quite decent.

Dear @crypto.piotr I love writing posts but, I am a busy person. I am active on many platforms so I think I should not spend too much time here if I have no gain from it as I know most of the Steemit posts are never read. However, I am very hopeful about PH as it is the platform where I can have good audience and also get some benefit. Thank you dear.

I'm glad there's already some hope that things will work out, it's certainly something that worries me, but I'm confident that everything will work out and we can move forward with the community! Since I am in it I have faith that in the long run better things will come.

We have a good leader in charge!!

Very well said. Though the deeds are done and way forward is the next design that must be drawn, that which you have began already regardless of what might happen in the nearest future. Change is constant and Project Hope should always be prepared ahead.

What is important to remember is that our goal is to STAY NEUTRAL within this conflict. And we're here to support quality content, published by active and supportive users, engaging with others within our community. Regardless of what blockchain they are using.

yes we must stay away from this drama we are users and we need to STAY NEUTRAL in this situation. i believe that both platforms are important t for us.

and yes glad to hear that steem auto is coming. it is important project.

It is really going to be challenging no matter on whichever side you are or you tend to be nuteral there will be people those who will be no happy and will be targeting but what best we can do is to keep our works towards development of our project and tackle all this slowly.

thanks for your kind comment @sumit71428

hope to see you more often posting within PH :)

Many of us are probably wondering how the PH community would be affected by this increasing conflict. And my simple answer is: it definetly will be.

It's really sad Project Hope is gonna be affected by the conflict and I can't really imagine how other community members might actually be feeling right now though but I strongly believe we'll surely overcome this if we actually don't give up on our dream (Project Hope).

One of the very first and really painful consequence will be the fact that Steemauto.com decided to shut down their services on STEEM blockchain.

I actually found it very difficult to believe when I first heard about steemauto leaving the steem blockchain because there are actually lot of Steemit projects linked to this account. It's really so sad they left and I'm quite sure it's not gonna be really easy curating content unlike before.

who is trying to re-create steemauto using a publicly open code. It's a work in progress, however I've already seen first results and I'm FULL OF HOPE.

Wow! This will really be a very great news and we are all hoping for the best since we Project Hope members are always optimistic.

Please remember, to post maximum 3-4 times a week within our community. It's really difficult for me to support you with an upvote if you post more publications than that.

I'm very sure everyone will surely understand the reason behind this since we all know Project Hope to be one of the best supporting platform on the steem blockchain.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead 💖💕❤️💕💖❤️💕💖💕💖

Wow. Appreciate this amazing comment @hardaeborla

It's really so sad they left and I'm quite sure it's not gonna be really easy curating content unlike before.

In a way - there is more genuine and manual curation happening now :)

What can i say now, we are all in this and we have to hope that it ends well. It is good that as a community we are staying neutral and thanks to steemit for its support.

While it is sad that everything has turned out the way it did quickly and the hardfork has affected a lot of great communities and with steemauto completely moving away from steem which has negatively impacted some communities and their curation activities.

However, it isn’t the end of the road… we all know that change is constant and what makes a community stronger is the ability to turn a negative situation to a positive situation.

This whole situation will make the brain work even better to come up with strategies and solutions to make the community even better than it was before – which is a good thing.

Hi @crypto.piotr I don't understand a lot about hf23 to Hive and steem account effects. I see as general view of people that HF23 is a hardfork or softfork that implies to network. As non programing users I just see one effect of Hf23 that @xpilar leave Hive because his fund was removed. That is very bad news. in my opinion we are members should stay in the goal. for me keeping our goal will be my focus whatever happened to the network. Members are the real asset of hive and steem, though there will be hardforks in the future, keep staying in our goal.

Certainly we can not sit and mourn, before the adversity is that the forces arise to achieve the great objectives, if a door closes others will open, the importance in all this is in the unity as a team.

Thank you for always being so communicative, I like that very much. Greetings

However, I'm already in close touch with an amazing developer @steem-supporter, who is trying to re-create steemauto using a publicly open code. It's a work in progress, however I've already seen first results and I'm FULL OF HOPE.

The results of this effort that we really need.

Alright, i follow these rules from today.

That would be all for this week. It was surely a very upsetting week and seeing events unfolding around recent hard fork HF23 made me lose part of my trust and confidence towards the safety of fund stored on blockchain.

It's unimaginable to see that certain accounts on this chain are wiped to zero overnight. I've lost confidence in the Steem blockchain as I feel unsafe on the dawn of each day. It's commendable that PH is staying neutral. Let's see how the drama unfolds and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers!

thanks for your comment @gandhibaba

We should be glad at a time like this to have a strong leader who is constantly looking for ways to provide better options to us, we need strength now to be able to survive what we may have as experiences from these chains.

thanks for your comment @busted1

I am sure everything will fall back in place even on this space very soon, the developers over here will want everything to normalize even if the former witnesses are no longer here.

Regardless of the HF that has been presented, here is a community that gives life to this platform, and even more if you have initiatives like PH, you can be sure that you will get prosperous and quality feedback. I can say that those of us here will be working to provide quality information and content in favor of the development of new technologies related to the cryptographic world.

thanks for your comment @alquimista1501

hope to see you more often posting within PH :)

Hope from Project Hope!

Nicely done. At a time riddled with uncertainty, I am happy to see solutions underway for the major issues. Also was relieved by some of the advice you presented. As we progress into the horizon, I believe PH will be among the thriving communities.

It is good news that @steem-supporter is creating a new steemauto because that tool helps real well. Power down now 4 weeks isn't really bad as some crypto staking projects are just 3 days. It is good that we keep growing the community and enjoying every bit of it.

thanks for the mention buddy

I am really positive about the whole thing, we will scale through all of this drama and I am pretty sure that steemit will always look for better ways to replace the functions we no longer have on the platform.

Really love your decision, been neutral before this will really have effect on us all, the outcome of everything is really surprising. But we will overcome it

Hi Piotr,

I'm already in close touch with an amazing developer @steem-supporter, who is trying to re-create steemauto using a publicly open code

This is a good news for our community and for Steem blockchain as well.

What is important to remember is that our goal is to STAY NEUTRAL within this conflict. And we're here to support quality content, published by active and supportive users, engaging with others within our community.

I absolutely agree with you on this. You hit the right point, I like it.

Being neutral sounds good, I'm with you.

XXX XXX XXX

But how I feel? "Oh, no, another hard/soft/whatever fork."
I'm exhausted of them. The more chains there are, the less attention is paid to one or the other.

I see the future when some genius invents the unification of analogous blockchains. "United we are strong", "let's take advantage of synergies", "make our chains great again", we have the slogans already...

thanks for your comment @deathcross

I'm exhausted of them. The more chains there are, the less attention is paid to one or the other.

Did you hear about this upcoming chain called Blurt?

Is Blurt something special? Or one of the 5,000 blockchains so far?

It's a very overwhelming negative situation on the chain. Iam still hoping that all will be well with us. Due to your great leadership of the project, I will as well stay neutral in the situation. Will just keep creating quality contents on both chains.

Thanks @Crypto.piotr for always being conscious of "comminunity" and seeking ways to hear from us. The happenings around last week's hardfork is the biggest shock I ever had on the steem blockchain. However, such things happen to make us reassess our strategies and build a stronger comminunity.

We have to again reconsider the security of Blockchain technology. I hope that the development undercourse to replace steemauto gets fixed soon.

I'll still support this community.

thanks for your comment @uyobong

hope to see you more often posting within PH :)

Hopefully begun. Welcome to June.

Its really saddening to see how steemit has been affected badly, I was just trying to see if I can join one or two curation trails last week only to find out they have moved to hive only. But thankfully @steem-supporter is working on it.

We just have to stay positive and be there for each other while relating with various posts of ours. Thanks to you for all the support so far. You are amazing.

Greetings, friend, we are always going to stumble on our way, but in the alliance is the strength, I think that there are solutions, as in the case of healing, another mechanism will be sought, either manual. What must be made clear is the importance and the values that you defend Project HOPE, so that each change gradually in the chain of blocks will adjust to our needs and the resources we have.

thanks for your comment @newton666

hope to see you more often posting within PH :)

Yours, @crypto.Piotr

I am still confused as to the meaning of hard fork, with respect to steem HF23.
I used to think that when an hard fork is done on any crypto chain, the hard fork usually produces a new splinter from the original chain. In other words, something new is created from the original to make two separate entities.
My question is, WHAT WAS CREATED FROM HF23?????
