Watching these days videos on tiktok I could see a deceased singer singing a song that while he was alive I never heard him sing, and that's when I asked myself: How can this be possible?
Then I went to the comments section to see what others were posting, and that's where I realized that this was done with artificial intelligence because almost everyone was commenting on it.
But I imagine that artificial intelligence will continue to improve and the point will come where everyone will be wondering:
How will we human beings be able to distinguish between true and false information?
I think it's going to be very difficult to differentiate from what I'm seeing at the moment, I imagine that in the future it will be more difficult to distinguish between a fake news and a real one.
I think the most difficult thing I see is that an artist or famous person who has died, can not come out to deny something, so those videos of artists that are so real will only be false for those people who know that the imitation generated by artificial intelligence is false because that person is already dead.
However I see this even dangerous, because suppose that the president of a country comes out saying that he dropped an atomic bomb to another country and that news is false because it was generated by artificial intelligence, the time that passes for it to be disproved is very dangerous because another country can attack and a world war can develop.
I do not know, maybe in the future technology will be developed so that in real time a fake news can be disproved, especially the one that seems as real as the one generated by artificial intelligence, but I think that at present this is being very difficult to detect and can be dangerous.
