The purpose of life is in my opinion the biggest and most frequently asked question. Why am I on this Earth? What is my personal mission? What do I want to do with my life?
Those questions I ask myself too a lot of times. I can recall myself asking these inquiries already in my earliest memories, it was always something that kept my mind busy, but for a long time, it wasn't clear at all what I would like to do with my life. I didn't even know how to start, I felt completely lost most of the times when I was thinking about it. I am still really young and I am not sure if I already found my purpose in my life, but what I know for sure that the journey itself is in fact important.
So how did everything start?
When I was young I had only a little knowledge of myself, life and the world around me, everything I knew, how I saw myself, how smart I felt mirrored how the others around me treated me, how I was treated in the kindergarten and then later in the school. By the time I was a teenager and a young adult, I had a complete picture of myself with the different roles I had, for example, the role I had in the school, or the role I had at home with my parents and the roles with my friends, at my workplace and so on. These roles, the opinions of others, and the circumstances defined how I saw myself. All those things that were out of my control had such a big influence on me. A lot of times the roles I had, did not show the true picture of me, but it made such a huge impact of my life and on every situation in my life that I had to deal with.
It took me a lot of time to accept, that the belief of others does not mean that I am the person who they want to see, and when this happened I could finally concentrate on how I really saw myself and how I wanted to see myself in the future. As soon as I managed to do that, I could start trying myself seeing objectively, see what I was good and bad at, discover my strengths and the things that interested me. I gave myself time to think and to listen to my body and mind.
How to set your goals?
I did not notice it for a long time, but the first step to set a goal is actually to start thinking about it. When you start thinking about it, what you could change, I guarantee you that you will end up with some ideas about what you could change in your life.
So how do you do that?
You have to have a clear picture of what you want to have, what you want to achieve, how you want to be, what kind of person you want to become in your life. So start visualizing it, start literally living it by thinking about it, and see it crystal clear what you in your life desire.
You have to see and feel it, for example when you have a situation in your life, that makes you anxious, imagine yourself in the situation, how you would feel and how you could change your emotions, try to visualize the possible ways you can change it to the better.
By doing that you will be able to work better in the real situation because it will be no longer something new. It is really important, when you imagine your goals, which you want to achieve, that you use positive thoughts and even emotions. If you want to change it to something positive, you have to believe and feel that it is real. How you think about your dreams, how you talk about them, the words you use to describe them, and how you feel about them have a great influence on how likely you achieve them.
How to keep the focus?
Start to think and act positive, be kind to the people around you and the new people you get to know, these little things will lead you to a bigger change. With these positive thoughts, it will be no longer a problem to think constructive and it will make your whole life simply better, happier, and more balanced. It is already proven that being positive and kind have a good effect on how you in your skin feel.
When you start to learn how you can focus on the priorities in your life, when you know what your aims are, it will be so much easier to manage your life. It is something that you have to keep reminding yourself, you always have to monitor yourself, where you are in your life and you have to decide if you head really towards your goals.
The positive habits can also help you keep you on your path when the important things have a prior place in your heart, it will help you through your struggles. What you have to do is never forget to stop and think about your plans and true desire, never give up hope, because it will give you negative feelings. You have to think big and you have to keep trying, even when you fail because even when it happens, you can learn something about it. You just have to see the opportunity in all the different situations.
I know it is easy to say, but what always cheered me up when I was feeling down, that I am absolutely not the only one, who struggles with problems, and I am not the only one, who has problems. When we can accept it that it is a part of life, and it is nothing bad, we can learn and grow from it. Without these struggles, we could not change and life would be really boring.
