Greetings friends of Steemit and Hindwhale Community

In my previous post The names of nine forms of goddess Durga - Part 1 I have discussed three forms of Navadurga. Here I shall discuss about six remaining forms of Navadurga.

Worshipped on the fourth day of Navaratri.

Here the whole universe is represented as a cosmic egg and the Devi is believed to end the darkness with her divine smile.

She can be seen riding a lioness and has eight hands, hence also known as Asthabhuja Devi

5.Skandamata

Goddess Parvati became the mother of Lord Kartikeya (Lord Skanda) as Skandamata. Worshipped of the fifth day of Navaratri.

Worshipped on the sixth day of Navaratri.

She is known as Katyayani after the sage Katyayana who worshipped Goddess Durga and asked her to be born as his daughter as a boon.

7.Kalaratri

Kalaratri is also sometimes known as Kali.

8.Mahagauri

This form of the goddess is depicted as a female deity mounted on a lotus and carrying a lotus, a conch or shankha, Gada and chakra on her four hands and worshipped on the ninth and final day of Navaratri.

What's right diet - vegitarian or non-vegetarian

Whether you are a Bengali or not, you can't deny that there is an air of festive mood in the entire country. People across the country are thriving to see the spectacular pandal of different themes built in their cities while Bengalis across the world feast on their delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The rest of the indians either fast or stick to a strict vegetarian diet. This culinary contrast often leads to the common question pose to Bengalis "Why they eat non-vegetarian food during the puja?" Bengalis always think out of the box. Some practices sacrifice animals like goats to goddess kali.
