Hello Everyone!

I am really happy to see that the hindwhale community and the administrator of the community Jyoti, have decided to organise the “power up and win contest” again. As I have mentioned earlier, this is a win-win situation contest because as you power up, your voting power is increased and participating in this contest lets you win the booming vote. It’s like winning from all the sides. Isn’t it? So, I would like to invite @enamul17, @letssittt and @weisser-rabe and tell them, do participate in this contest and get a chance to win booming votes and increase your voting power too. Best wishes to you all!

Starting with the contest, today I am powering up 20 Steem from my wallet. Before powering up I had 1,507.312 Steem in my wallet and after powering up 20 Steem, I have 1,527.374 STEEM Power in my wallet. I am happy to see that my Steem Power has reached 1500 and my next target is 2000 Steem Power. Hope to achieve this target soon, may be before 2024.

As per the rules and guidelines of the contest, I am sharing the screenshots of my wallet before power-up, converting Steem to Steem Wower and after power-up.

Before Power-Up:

Process of converting Steem to Steem Power:

After Power-Up:

This way, today I did my power up for this contest.

Importance of Power Up:

Power up increases our steem power, which leads to increase in our voting power. And, more voting power means we can support users and motivate them to post more content. This way we can create a better community for all, here on steemit. And, power up helps us to maintain our club and reputation score also.

So, keep posting, keep powering up and keep supporting everyone. Thank you ☺️

Very good Manisha. Nice work.

Thank you:)

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.

You know, I take note of the fact that you keep inviting me back... And I'm sure you meant it kindly - thank you!

But I don't think Power Ups are a suitable topic for blogging and I also think Booming Votes shouldn't be won, but should be given for excellent texts. And only for that.

I don't want to support this boasting and bragging about something that goes without saying.

I understand your point, but the main motive for power up contest is to motivate people.

I understand that. But it has nothing to do with my idea of a blogging platform. Anyone who needs to be motivated to blog has no place here. Anyone who only sees the financial aspect here has just as little. Unfortunately, I think the approach of these campaigns is fundamentally wrong.

And what do you feel about burnsteem campaign?

You know that I do not support this action either. According to my mathematical and economic understanding, this calculation does not work out or even has some harmful effects.

And what do you feel about diary posts about booming and big votes?

Diary posts can be a good thing - isn't that actually the point of blogging? Bringing other people into your everyday life, creating understanding for each other and making connections...? But it shouldn't be a competition that attracts people who aren't good at writing.

Booming votes and other high votes should be reserved for posts that offer added value in terms of content - which leads to more users visiting the Steem.

How investors who currently use votebots to secure their investments should be treated is currently being discussed - once again - elsewhere (in the Suggestions Club)...

Agreed but at the same time time grossly abused by certain users.

Yes, of course. I'm aware of that, I'm very sorry. But I don't think it can be prevented - not if you don't want to completely bend the character of such a platform, which is characterised by freedom and liberality and calls itself decentralised. Because then it becomes ridiculous...
