🔫 In the 1930s, as fascism rose in Europe, Lamarr's husband Mandl, a supporter of the Nazis, sold weapons to them, involving research on wireless signal-guided torpedoes and radio jamming technology.
👑 When the Nazis entered Austria, due to Mandl's possessiveness and persecution of Jews, Hedy drugged her maid and escaped. On October 4, 1937, she arrived in Hollywood, starring in 'Algiers,' earning her the title of the 'World's Most Beautiful Woman.'

🛳️ During World War II, moved by news of a German U-boat sinking an Allied transport ship, Lamarr volunteered to help the U.S. government design military communication and torpedo guidance systems for more accurate strikes against German submarines.
🎹 Inspired by composer George Antheil's piano-playing experience, they developed an anti-jamming communication device with automatic coding and decoding. In August 1942, Hedy and Antheil's "frequency hopping communication technology" received a U.S. patent, numbered 2292387, titled "Secret Communication System."
📡 In 1985, a small U.S. company (now Qualcomm), building on frequency hopping technology, developed the current CDMA communication technology. Beyond CDMA, WiFi, and Bluetooth also evolved based on frequency hopping technology.
