This is a fictional character I've imagined, but his cultural background is indispensable. I believe every painting is closely tied to the cultural context of its creator's homeland. The character in the painting is named Bai He, a monk. He doesn't appear to be in good health in the image, but don't worry, because the title of my painting is "Rebirth."
