Forbidden Knowledge: Consensus breaking concepts and practices

As the term suggests, 'forbidden knowledge' is a type of knowledge or an understanding that the ruling authority, the religion, or the culture would not want their followers to know. Such issues could include going against accepted norms in society, undermining powers that be, or even confronting moral issues. Examples would include erased pieces of history, conspiracies within governments, some occult practices, and even some innovations in science. There were some people in society who were always keen on such knowledge though, for instance, figures like Galileo or Prometheus from mythology are often judged to have suffered a lot for ensuring such knowledge became known or helping in the industry’s advancement. At the present times, some have went as far as claiming that the likes of reproduction technology or artificial intelligence is a modern form of ‘forbidden knowledge’ for such has always had ethical debates. In one sense, such knowledge does have the potential of pushing boundaries further, but this potential comes with the risk making societies rather slow to adopt fully. These quite often pleasing yet maddening questions of ‘where lies the limit’ remain largely untouched all because of the societies third eye. Such seeming nakedness in society stands in direct opposition to the human psych myself included that finds it attention-grabbing.
