A New Year Filled with Rest, Food, and Games It’s already the fifth day of the Lunar New Year! Unlike my usual travel adventures, I decided to stay home this time, fully relaxing during the holiday.
These past few days have been all about sleeping in, enjoying delicious food, and, of course, playing a few rounds of Guandan before and after meals. I must say, my skills have improved a bit! Tonight’s dinner was a feast of local dishes.
One thing that stood out was the love for radishes here. There were two types on the table—round red radishes and green ones eaten like fruit! It’s quite amusing to see radishes treated as both a vegetable and a dessert. But I must admit, they were fresh and surprisingly tasty. The Lunar New Year is always a time for family, good food, and traditions.
Though I love traveling and exploring the world, there’s something special about slowing down, enjoying home-cooked meals, and appreciating the little things. As we step into the new year, I wish everyone who comes across this post a year filled with smooth sailing, great fortune, and happiness. May luck, success, and wealth come your way effortlessly! Happy New Year!
