Digital art practice.

Hello friends,

I really enjoyed the fashion digital lessons I took a month ago. Now I’m trying to practice what I learned there.

I’m not really into fashion, but I enjoy drawing beautiful models using Procreate. I really like how some of the steps in digital drawing are so easy and fast compared to traditional materials.

Let me share what I did yesterday.

First I made a draft sketch. I used brush called Syrup.

Then in a new layer I colored model’s skin.

Next, I tried to work on her hair style. It was challenging.

After that I drew an eye, and made one mistake. I copied the iris with everything inside it and mirrored it not thinking that the highlight in the eye would look unnatural.

I made an underpaint for the lips and an eyebrow.

Here I realized that model’s eyes are not leveled. So I turned on the grid to fix it. I also added some highlights to her lips.

I started to work on lights and shadows in this step.

At the end I added glasses, hair barrette, and a red shirt. I think she looks super smart now.

I really think I should try now making avatars for my friends:-)
