Dear Steemit friends. !!!
Good night, steemit friends, hopefully all of steemit's friends are still in good health.
Tonight I will post again on wildflowers.
For those who like to walk in the wild, of course, they often find beautiful flowers in bloom. Surprisingly, many of these beautiful flowering plants appear lush, even though no one cares for them.
The Morning Glory (Ipomoea) family of the Convolvulaceae family only blooms for a few hours. Starting before dawn or sunrise until just before noon. Even so, the flowers are on average very beautiful and the majority are large. Likewise with Ipomoea obscura or also known as Obscure Morning Glory, Small White Morning Glory, which blooms before sunrise and withers at midday.
Wild Morning Glory (Ipomea sp). There are actually a lot. The colors range from white, yellow, purple, pink, blue. Flower sizes vary, some are large, some are medium in diameter and some are miniature. The leaves are also of various types. Some are heart-shaped, some are trident-shaped, some are in the shape of 5 fingers.
This plant requires full sun. Blooms in the morning and begins to wilt and roll after midday. Many have been seen crawling on dry fences or creeping in grasslands and abandoned vacant lots. Requires sufficient direct heat / light to grow and flower properly.
Grows wild vines with trunk lengths of up to 2.5 - 4 meters - in untreated places such as river banks, rice fields or plantations, grasslands, bushes, border plants, open forests, waste lands, roadsides at an altitude of up to 1,800 masl, from eastern tropical Africa, tropical Asia, northern Australia to Fiji. Sometimes there are those who cultivate it for ornamental plants. Propagation by sowing seeds or stem cuttings.
However, almost all species of this genus are the favorites of various insect larvae, especially butterflies and beetles. Even so, the audience continues to grow from time to time because of the advantages it has, namely it is not complicated in maintenance, and time to enjoy the flowers is short, only a few months after planting the seeds we can enjoy. the beauty of the flowers. Another plus is also diligent in flowering (almost every day).
That's my post tonight, thanks to those of you who have visited my blog and I hope you have a fun weekend.
thank you for your attention
