SEC-S14W2 | Surviving in the Nature | Jungle.

Dear friends,

I am Jyoti from India and im here going to participate in this SEC 14 Week21 contest :https://steemit.com/hive-188972/@travelingsteem/sec-s14w2-or-surviving-in-the-nature.

Surviving alone in a forest, desert, or on an island is not that easy. I have seen live programs like this on Discovery, National Geography Channel etc. I don't know how real it is but it was an opportunity to know how to survive if a similar situation happened to us.

Surviving in the Nature

Which natural spot (desert, jungle or Isle) do you feel you'll probably survive on a best way? State reasons.

As I was born and raised in a hill station, I have spent time in the forest. What I learned from these experiences, as well as watching these programs on television, is that survival in the jungle is somewhat easier than survival in the other two places.

Because in the forest we definitely get water and food. Similarly, we can build a shelter with sticks, leaves and vines to protect ourselves. Likewise, if it gets cold, you can make a fire with the logs and logs and keep the body warm. You can also cook and eat the meat and vegetables available there through the fire.

Such facilities are definitely not available to us in the desert and water is very rare in the desert. Without water we can quickly become ill from de-hydration and even die. Similarly, if we were stranded on an isolated island, we would have very little chance of getting food and water there, and I can't expect to have supplies lying around to make a shelter. If the island mangrove we are stuck in is also a low land area, there is no chance of vegetables and animals, but only poisonous snakes and insects, so it is very rare for us to survive there.

Which skills do you need to stay there without big issue while you wait to be rescued? Cooking, climbing, swimming, etc.

All the above mentioned three skills are very helpful for us to survive. We need all three to save ourselves in times of danger. For example, if we have learned to swim, when an animal chases us in the forest, if there is a river or pond there, we can jump into the water and swim to escape from them. Then surely we can survive by using our swimming skill.

And secondly, if we know how to climb a tree, when such animals give up, we can immediately climb the tree and escape, similarly we can survive by eating the fruits and nuts of the tree. Also, if there is water in a tree like coconut, we can drink it and give hydration to our body.

Thirdly, if we know how to cook, we can cook deliciously, eat and even live happily in that place. But it is not necessary to know how to cook, we can stay alive if we cook and eat the food we got to survive.

Which are the essential you can't forget there and why? Mobile, diary, pet... Anything is valid.

Among the above items I think mobile is the most essential because if we have a mobile we can inform others about our situation to protect ourselves. Similarly we can converse with others while we are there. Also we can see videos like how to protect yourself in difficult times. You can pass the time by watching movies, songs, videos and reduce stress. Also a mobile can create light in the dark so I assume the mobile was there.

With a diary we can only record the things that happened there, a diary can never help in surveying the place.

A job is that if our pet is a good powerful dog, it can be helpful as a walking friend, while other cats and parrots will miss the pet and it will not help us to protect ourselves in that place.

Which are the disadvantages for being very dependent of any urban lifestyle?

With the artificial comforts of city life, we have become accustomed to living in isolation from nature. We are addicted to artificial facilities like Ac, Heater and Vehicles hence we cannot bear the climate and conditions of nature. For examples:

  • As we use air conditioners to cool down the heat in city life, we can't stand the sun at times like this.

  • As we are used to heaters and warm beds in winters, we cannot survive cold deserts.

  • As we are used to eating vegetables and fruits cooked, if we eat vegetables and fruits raw in the area where we survive, we get allergic.

  • Having always depended on vehicles, walking has become rare. So we can't walk at a time like this. We become tired when an chases us to attack or when we have to walk a long distance.

We are the hope!

Yes, in the jungle we have wood with which we can make bonfires to keep warm at night, illuminate and cook our food. So the forest is the safer than other two spots. thank you for reading and giving a good feedback

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.

Thank you so much for inviting me. Your article is very interesting to read. Good luck with the contest and have a nice day.

In the forest we can get firewood and twigs easily. Building a place for shelter from twigs and leaves is an excellent idea.
In addition, forests also provide many natural resources such as water, fruits and animals to hunt

The right choice mate,, good luck 👏

Hi @jyoti-thelight Your insights into surviving in the jungle are impressive! The forest's abundance of water and food along with the ability to build shelters and make fire make it an ideal spot for survival. You rightly note the challenges of the deserts scarcity of water and the difficulties of surviving on an isolated island. The importance of swimming climbing and cooking skills in a survival scenario is well-highlighted showcasing their significance for escaping danger and sourcing food. The mobiles versatility for communication accessing survival information and providing light is highlighted as essential. Your exploration of urban lifestyle dependency beautifully contrasts with the challenges of nature emphasizing our reliance on artificial comforts. Great analysis of the drawbacks of urban living in relation to coping with natural conditions. 🌿🔥📱

Hello friend
You shared alot with us stressing that you have learnt a lot from documentaries on how to live in the jungle as it is more easier to survive there, as you could make a shelter from logs and also make meat from the games in the jungle.

Interestingly, you could make a fire from the logs for warmth and survive in the jungle as compared to the island and the desert too. You shared how important it is for you to be your mobile as you could make a calls telling people how you are faring, watching videos to pass time and a host of other activities. I enjoyed your entry and success in the challenge my dear friend

@jyoti-thelight Hello dear Your insights into survival skills and your preference for the jungle due to the availability of water and food make a lot of sense. It's practical to consider the resources that each environment offers when thinking about survival. Your acknowledgment of the importance of skills like swimming, cooking, and climbing is spot on—they indeed play crucial roles in a survival situation. Wishing you the best in the contest 🌿🏞️🔥
