Dozens of School Activists of SMPN 1 Bireuen UPTD Participate in the Celebration and Prize-Giving of the Krida Duta Bahasa Regional Language Short Story Competition.

The Aceh Provincial Language Center, Language Development and Fostering Agency, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology held a Celebration activity at the School of Activists of SMPN 1 Bireuen UPTD.

The celebration and prize-giving of the Krida Duta Bahasa Regional Language Short Story Competition for activists of the School of Activists at SMPN 1 Bireuen UPTD, took place in the Multimedia room of the local school, Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

The celebration and prize-giving of the Krida Duta Bahasa Regional Language Short Story Competition was attended by dozens of activists of the School of Activists of SMPN 1 Bireuen UPTD.

The Head of the Aceh Provincial Language Center, Drs, Umar Solikhan, M.Hum said that this activity was part of the Krida Duta Bahasa program of Aceh Province in this case increasing literacy for school activists.

It was stated that the activity included a short story writing competition in regional languages in addition to being held at the SMPN 1 Bireuen UPTD Driving School for the Bireuen Regency area.

"This activity is also held in a number of schools in other regencies/cities in Aceh Province," he explained.

The Krida Duta Bahasa activity aims to improve children's culture and literacy skills. In addition, it is also an effort to preserve regional languages.

According to him, so far our competition activities have been held for each school only at the district/city level. God willing, next year we will hold a provincial level competition.

"The champions at the district/city level will be included in the same competition at the provincial level," said the Head of the Aceh Provincial Language Center.

Previously, the Head of SMP Negeri 1 Bireuen UPTD, Ibrahim Harun, S.Pd., M.S.M expressed his gratitude to the Head of the Aceh Provincial Language Center. Because he has chosen the school he leads as the place for the implementation of the Krida Duta Bahasa activity for junior high school level in Bireuen Regency.

With this activity, SMPN 1 Bireuen activists can further improve their literacy skills related to regional languages. In addition, they can produce a work in the form of writing and create a generation that is more competent and aware of the importance of literacy.

Then form language ambassadors as agents of change who are able to inspire other friends to love and develop literacy skills more.

The following is the data for the winners of the Aceh Regional Language Short Story Competition for SMPN 1 Bireuen Literacy School Activists.

First Best was won by Ilham Maulidin, with the short story title Iri Sifeut Binasa. Second Best, Amira Naila Syakira, with the short story title Peuhaba. Third Best, Sitra Yastazia with the short story title, Sunyi Dalam Rumoeh.

Then, Fourth Best was won by Sifa Putro Funna with the short story title Harta Gurun bak Pulau Terpencil and Fifth Best was won by Asila Zuhra Elsa with the short story title Watee Meuharga Ngen Nenek.

The winners were given prizes in the form of award certificates and some coaching money by the Aceh Provincial Language Center.
