Chairman of the Aceh PKK TP Invites Simeulue PKK Cadres to Intensify Stunting Prevention.
Chair of the Aceh Family Empowerment and Welfare Team (TP PKK), Ayu Marzuki, invited all PKK cadres throughout Aceh, including TP PKK in Simeulue Regency, to move together in efforts to handle and prevent stunting, which is currently being intensively carried out by TP PKK ranks at all levels throughout Indonesia.
This message was conveyed during a meeting with the Chairman of the TP PKK Simeulue Regency and his staff, at the Graha D'Fit Restaurant, Sunday (26/11/2023) afternoon.
"Since it was first proposed, we PKK cadres at all levels have been committed to supporting the Government in its efforts to handle and prevent stunting, especially in Aceh and in Indonesia more broadly.
"For this reason, let's maintain this commitment, by making handling stunting an obligation for cadres," said Ayu Marzuki.
If the PKK is active and works together or builds synergy and collaboration with policy stakeholders, such as Posyandu, Puskesmas, then efforts to handle and prevent stunting will produce positive results.
"If the PKK is active, Posyandu is active, all agencies are active, God willing, efforts to handle and prevent stunting will produce maximum results," added Ayu.
Therefore, Ayu invited the ranks of the TP PKK to work as hard as possible, to support the Central Government's target of achieving stunting prevalence at 14 percent by 2024.
On this occasion, Ayu Marzuki appealed to the Simeulue Regency Government, especially the Simeulue Bappeda, to provide an adequate budget to the Simeulue Regency PKK TP, so that they could move together to support the Regency Government in efforts to handle and prevent stunting.
Not only discussing stunting, on this occasion Ayu Marzuki also discussed PHBS and local supplementary feeding (PMT) as well as intensive treatment of malnutrition.
"The socialization of PHBS and Local PMT is important because all of this is also related to efforts to prevent stunting. "For this reason, PKK cadres must really understand these two things, so that we can provide understanding and socialize the importance of PHBS and Local PMT to the wider community," said Ayu.
On this occasion, Ayu Marzuki invited TP PKK ranks to go out into the community more often and continue to socialize various efforts to handle and prevent stunting in gampongs.
Regarding malnutrition, Ayu Marzuki reminded that usually children with poor nutrition will be accompanied by comorbidities such as TB and so on.
However, in several hospitals, treatment of malnutrition does not meet standards. Therefore, Ayu appealed to the handling of children with malnutrition to be further improved.
"Indonesia will experience a demographic bonus in 2045. "To get there, the President launched the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045. So, this effort to handle and prevent stunting is one of our efforts to prepare a healthy and intelligent generation of Indonesians to realize the Golden Indonesia Vision in 2045," concluded Ayu Marzuki.
