So I did work hard since my last actifit report, 2 weeks ago. I was able to effectively shed 1.5 Kg of weight by diet and some minimal running on treadmill.
Implementing some science in life

I am using the diet strategy, where I am not counting calories whatsoever. I have shown in my previous reports that it wasn't just the number of absolute calories that mattered, but instead what made those calories is quite important. I have highlighted this in my @steemstem posts, where I gave shared research that the constituents along with microbiome is quite important. For instance in this post we saw how the two sugars - glucose and fructose differentially affect the fat oxidation and fat storage. In other posts, I have talked about the importance of microbiome and immune system in regulating what gets used and what gets stored. If you remember the classical germ free mice experiment, where the germ free mice ate lot more the normal mice and yet did not gain weight. I have mentioned that in my posts.
Hence, taking this into consideration, I am first focusing on removing the source of sugars esp, processed sugars in my diet. And I am focusing in having protein rich diet containing majorly - green veggies, tomatoes, carrots, milk, egg, meat and some fat (ghee, butter and oil).
I am running for 20 mins every alternate day, at 6-8 km/h.
As for result the last two weeks have worked like a charm. I am hoping the coming weeks to also be fruitful. I will keep this place updated.
However, one of my major concern is the metabolic equilibrium point. The idea is that we have an equilibrium point in terms of weight. So if that point is 70 kg, you body will always try to pull or push you back to this weight. It is considered as reason by some for resistance you face during weight loss after a certain point. So if I am eating less my metabolism will slow down and I will end up not utilising enough of what I am eating. Hence to kick start that we need a cheat day. I gave chosen that day to be Sunday. And on both Sundays since past two weeks, I have had all the crappy food - like bread stuffed with potato (aloo parantha, we call it).
Just thought I will make notes of these things. Let's see how things progress.
I also want to write some more science posts, but I am holding back until all the things on steem gets settled.
Over and out for now.
