SLC22 -W2 Bakery Course: Types of dough
I am happy to participate in this week's baking course of the Steemit Learning Challenge Season 22-W2. This course is very important for me as a beginner. Where I will learn about the types of flour and the process of making dough. The baking course conducted by the great teachers @yenny47 is another new challenge for me. This course will take me one step further in the world of baking.
Among the types of flour presented in the class, semi-sweet flour seemed the most interesting to me. And I often have to make this type of flour. I am used to making this type of flour. And I can make various types of sweet bread items with this flour. And I find it very easy to make. And since these breads are a little sweet, they can be eaten as snacks with tea or coffee.
🧾The ingredients that I will need to make bread....
one teaspoon of instant yeast,
two teaspoons of powdered milk,
chocolate - 100 g,
four teaspoons of sugar,
1/4 teaspoon of salt,
two teaspoons of refined oil ,
warm water - as much as needed.
- Take two cups of flour and one teaspoon of instant yeast. (For every cup of flour, half a teaspoon of yeast is used). Add two teaspoons of powdered milk. Using milk enhances the taste of the bread. Take sugar, salt, and oil in a bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients in this stage well with your hands.
- Now mix the dry ingredients with warm water to make a soft dough. The water should be so hot that you can dip your fingers in the water. And do not mix the water completely. Mix it one by one.
- When the dough becomes sticky, add some oil to it and knead it well. In the case of bun bread, the more you knead the bread, the softer and spongier it will be.
- I knead the dough well. Now I will put it in a round mold and let it rest. I will apply light oil on the dough so that the dough does not dry out on the top. I will cover the dough with a piece of wrapping paper on the surface.
- After letting the dough rest for one to one and a half hours, the dough has doubled in size.
- Now I will press it with my hands to remove the air inside the dough. Now I will knead the dough a little more. And I will divide the dough into several parts.
- First, I took the dough, like bread, and divided it into several parts. Then I wrapped it in a little chocolate and folded it. This design is done according to my son's preference.
- Then I will cover it and let it rest for about 15 to 20 minutes. Now I will brush the bread with beaten egg yolk. Now I will sprinkle white sesame seeds on it. At this stage, the dough is ready to be baked. Now I will put it in the oven for 35 minutes.
- After 35 minutes, the bread has a nice color on it. At this stage, the sweet bread is ready.
The experience of making sweet bread is very good. I really like to eat delicious handmade bread for a light snack. It is very fun to make bread according to your taste in a clean and tidy way. At the same time, you can feed the whole family and get a lot of compliments from everyone. It is a good experience. And I used the chocolate that the children like. This makes them more interested in eating bread. Overall, my experience is very good. I did not face any complications in making bread. Because I am used to making bread. I have small children at home, so I often have to make different types of baking items. This is very natural for me. I want to feed the sweet bread that I have made to my beloved @yenny47 Mam as per the opportunity and convenience. Because I want my mother to taste the bread I have made. Then I will be much more inspired, and in the future, more love for baking will be born. In the case of baking, the @yenny47 Mam Museum has a hand. That's for sure.
I often make bread myself. Sometimes I buy bread from fast food to check the taste and quality. There are different quality breads available in my country. However, a piece of bread costs 25 Bangladeshi taka and steem price 0.959. They are sold by the dozen. A dozen is available for 300 Bangladeshi taka and steem price 11.511. These chocolate buns are very fun to eat.
