Reducing the use of plastic bottles

Treat your water source and avoid having to buy all the water you drink. It's a little effort but saves the environment too

When you move around and look at river channels in Bamenda or streams , you can get worried as most of these areas are filled with plastic containers of different types. These plastic containers keep blocking the water way such that some of the water is stagnant and does not move . Consequently there has been an increase in the breeding of mosquitoes and the spread of malaria. A good number of women have continually miss-used the mosquito nets giving more preference to it being used in the gardens than in the room where it is supposed to protect house hold members from being bitten by mosquitoes.

Ensure that all the water you drink for which you may doubt the source is treated or filtered before Futher use.

Everyday, everywhere, plastic containers continue to litter the streets the backyards the school yards and some areas noted for throwing dirt. There are thousands of plastic containers in particular that drop off the hands of several individuals on a daily basis. Any person who is so concerned about the protection of the environment would definitely feel quite uncomfortable each time he or she tumbles on those plastic containers especially on the streets. But ,is it possible to talk to the consciences of some individuals so that we can help to reduce plastics from our society, from our communities from the streets from the oceans and the world at Large? it's quite baffling to notice in my own community in Bamenda that there is a tremendous increase in the disposal of plastic containers .

If possible get a water container that you can recycle or use many times than just once

Individuals can contribute to this fight by making an endeavour to use one drinking water container. Many people in Cameron prefer bottled water than the ordinary tap or spring water.It is better to carry water and filter to make it safe for drinking. for instance
using a water filter is one way for you get to reduce using many containers. Most bottle water in Cameroon has mineral content and is recommended more for some classes of persons.above all the the essence is to make sure that each individual contributes to ending plastic pollution and by using a single or two echo friendly bottles.lets continue to try not to dirty our environment with plastics.
