So this week's theme is "What were your ambitions when you were a child?" In this competition, I would like to know your ambitions.

IT profession become more integral part of our everyday lives. The technology is advancing more than we can imagine but despite of this, we cannot stop pestilence and crimes.

I remember during my college time, my group made a program to refill the credits of used telephone cards. We made a lot of money by reloading and reselling them out of being already trash.

As a kid I wanted to be alot of things, it married with what inspired me during that period it could be a week a month a year etc.
My imaginations would play out so real and magnificent in my head like I had already achieved it some days I would want to be a Ninja from shoalin, and sometimes I would want to be a super hero. Of course all this would depend on the movie I had watched during that time.. but what I had wanted to so badly for a really long time seemed so beautiful, so adventurous, there was nothing I wanted more than to be in the Marines 🤗🤗

I really didn't care that they killed a bunch of people but the movies made it look like fun! I wanted to be a trained sniper 😎..
I wanted to be big and strong to protect myself then my family..
😂 I was really really small for a kid my age so I was bullied alot, like any normal person I would crave for power to stand up to the bullies. I liked the training the cool gear... The helicopters .. armored cars etc
But after seeing the military in my country at work the thought of being in the military disgust me!

My ambition is to become a teacher. It's because the teacher is very important in the life of students. They helped build the future, a guide to the correct path, and develop the potential of students to achieve their goals.

Back when I was a kid, I wanted to be an archeologist, I love history and I was engrossed with how the ancient civilizations life was.Their technologies, that are forgotten and might be of used if ever it was discovered again.Tracing back to the past using new techniques and carbon dating to place which part of the timeline it was to be specific.How it affected the other civilizations in terms of trading, producing products and others.It might be a foundation to a culture.I also think that archeology has been a field that has been untapped to my own country.Since the Philippines has been colonized by different countries the very foundation during the time we were not yet colonised is not yet known to the public.During the time it is possible that our ancient ancestors were already doing trade with china due to the evolution of Adobo which is orginally made without soy sauce.It was thought that it was originally influenced by the spaniards.These trivial everyday things has questions to be asked.And the connection from the past to our present and might be the future is revealed by an archeologist.

Hi, everyone. I am @jheirtalks
Well, growing up, If I want to be truly honest, I had so many ambitions or would you say 'dreams'.
They really gave me this sense of purpose, even at that little age, I wasn't limited to just 'existing'.
One amongst those many ambitions was that I wanted to become a professional drummer.
Drumming was almost a major part of me then, because I was little and of course had many dreams but at that point in my life, I could only think of playing the drums.

Playing in church services, at home, or wherever an opportunity presents it self; with one having to hit something to make a rhythmic sound.
Although, as of now, I still play the drums, but it wasn't as I dreamt of it as per playing professionally.
Nevertheless, whether it worked out fine or not, I guess it played a huge part in making me who I am today.

Hi! everyone, its such great news to get the chance to share a part of my childhood with the wonderful people of this community.
Growing up we all had various professions we wanted to pursue however, some came to past and others diverged onto different paths which I am not an exception. I had different ambitions growing up as a kid but the one which I was so attached to was to become a pilot.

Things didn't go as expected because I had to pursue my passion which is what I’m actually on.
I really miss those days when I had to tell my parents to get me aero plane whenever they step out and coming back. It was fun though but as we grow we begin to think and act differently.

Growing up as a child I always had the ambition of becoming a doctor. This choice was influenced by the fact that my dad was a medical doctor himself. He encouraged us to pursue the same career. He even thought my older sibling and I how to prescribe drugs and inject someone.
The experience was really interesting, as a young child I already knew some basic cures to some physical ailments. Father gave special attention to I and my older sibling and he was determined to make sure we reach the goal of becoming a medical doctor.
Though some of my ambitions has been adjusted, I still hope to be a hard worker and do what will provide satisfaction to me.

Well my dad soon passed away, leaving my mom alone to take care of the 6 of us. She couldn't further our education.
Also after he passed away I didn't have the ambition of becoming a doctor anymore, I simply lost the zeal.
But I knew that life without direction is dangerous. So I developed the zeal of becoming a teacher. I think this is what I am really good at.
I do hope that one day I will achieve the goal of becoming a professional teacher.

Well, my dream when I was young was to become a judge and a lawyer to defend people and bring rights to them from bad people.
But unfortunately, our country went through a long war and I could not complete my studies. When I was offered a job as a judge in one of the courts, I rejected the idea completely for fear of doing wrong to anyone.

During my childhood days, my sole ambition was to become a designer. I can remember those days, during my childhood days when i would cut our rags into pieces and then give it another shape with my hand needle and my elderly ones always flog me on account of that. But i didn't stop. Also, whenever my mum looses her hair, i must design and twist it to an unknown shape. But today, i wont call it an unfulfilled ambition because today, am a hair designer.

What were your ambitions when you were a child?
When I was a child my ambition was to finished my studies and earned a degree.
I belong to a poor family, my father was a farmer. I grew up helping in the farm and I find it so difficult and was so tiring. With that experienced, I promised myself to finished in college so that I can land a good job and could helped my family financially. So I sacrificed a lot just to finished it. Fortunately, I did it with the helped of God Almighty. Thank you!

When i was a child because of my kind of background, I wanted to be a great administrator and a philanthropist. I was not opportuned to stay with my father somuch and some of my needs were not met, so I taught by helping order children who are in that same condition i will make great impact. Being a kid with good ambitions and positive dreams is one of the most awesome feelings ever. Children tend to presume positive impressions and apply them to their lives in anticipation to work towards them. That is a natural phenomenon and that was my case.
I am from Nigeria, one of Africa's top countries and one of the most populous countries in the world. Health care has been a major problem in Nigeria. When I was 6 years, one of my Father's friend was diagnosed with a delicate disease, he was taken overseas to be cured since the few consulted medical practitioners couldn't find a solution. The man died in an Indian hospital after visiting three different countries for treatment. Even though I was tender, I felt the loss as I saw my dad weep. Most poor countries in the world lack essential medical and healthcare luxury.
I always admired medical practitioners because of the way they dressed and because of their determination to save lives. I made a choice when I was so young to be a medical Doctor.
Secondly, I usually followed up and paid attention whenever my mum watched modelling programs on the TV, so I developed passion for fashion and modelling.
During my basic education, my class teachers always admired my passion for science and healthcare. This was manifest in the fact that I won many science practical competitions and exhibitions for my school at state level. I started at an early stage to make enquiries on how I will go about studying medicine and surgery.
As unforseen occurrences had it, I lost my parents so early, during my entry into secondary school. This virtually changed everything. Though I was always motivated by loved ones to continue pursuing my dreams, and even received some promises of funds to further my education to tertiary level, it was not a funny story. I was steadily pained whenever I see my mates acquire what I could easily get if my parents were alive. But those things were not at my reach.
As a second option, I ventured into fashion and modelling. It was easier for me to sponsor myself at it, so I made the decision. I learned and studied fashion, got my certificate, and started working for some brands. Till today, I can boldly say that I have lived up to my dreams in the fashion and modelling world and I have worked with elite and top notch brands in fashion. The experience is overwhelming.
I will not stop pushing hard to fulfill my dream of becoming a Medical Doctor, but it is going to be a part time course for me. I also pray I will receive support from God and generous loved ones.

Hello friends, i am @graceyjossy from Nigeria.
Growing up as a child, one of my ambitions was becoming a medical scientist, because i saw how people who are closed to me fell ill and some died, then i vowed to myself to save lives. As a child, i used to have an Auntie who was a medical scientist and i always followed her to the medical centre, this made me to be knowledgeable of some common drugs even at my tender age. The role of a medical scientist in the society is immense, because they are able to save atleast morethan half of a dieing population. I am still trying to fulfill my childhood dream, and I'm humble to say that i am now a B.Sc holder in Public Health Parasitology, and i am looking forward to be successful in my life. This profession is one of the most esteemed and love driven profession and i wish to have more opportunities to show love and care to people.

When i was young my ambition was to be a nurse, i always carry sticks around pretending that those sticks are my syringes and needles, i lay down my dummy and pretend given them injection.
I will tell my little one to act like sick people so that i can treat them.
As i grew up, i work towards my ambition, i choose science courses during my secondary school, and after which i joined nursing school and today i am proudly a

Hello, in my childhood I had some dreams, I wanted to be a comic creator, to design them, to make animated movies too and to write dramas or novels for television, when I was playing I was always teaching, my students were my grandmother's rabbits, dog and parrots, I also took reams of paper from an uncle and corrected the sheets, when I grew up I couldn't fulfil my main dream which was to make comics and write dramas, I didn't make it but my games of teaching became a reality and here I am teaching, I still watch comics and I still analyse them and see details but only as fun because at this point that dream was just a big dream.

Growing up, I had so much I desired to be when I grow up.
As a kid then, one out of the many things I wished for was to become a pharmacist. I so love the profession, so I determined in my heart that I would love to be a pharmacist when I grow up.
Anyone who asked me then what I would love to become in future, I was so quick to tell them pharmacist with so much enthusiasm in my voice.. smiles.
One of my reason for wanting to be a pharmacist then, was my love for people and how much I show concern whenever there is any sick person around me. I always wonder what could cure their sickness and how the cure can be gotten quick so the person can be whole again. So I decided to be responsible for the production of the drug used to make the sick ones whole again, I never wanted anyone to go through pain or suffering before getting the treatment they needed.😀
Sounds interesting right??. But fortunately, here am i today as an agriculturist. I never became a pharmacist, but the reason why I desired to b a pharmacist was still fulfilled, I still care for people and don't allow anyone go through suffering. I grew up and realised that I don't have to be a pharmacist to fulfil such dream of mine.

We all had ambitions when we were kids. I am happy to participate in the contest here at streem skillshare so that I can share my ambition when I was a child. I want to be a medical doctor because I want to take care of the health of every person with a chronic illness.
What I like about being a doctor is treating everyone who is sick and saving people from serious illness and I am happy if I can cure someone from his illness. The doctor also knows what should and should not be for our health.

When growing up I had more than one ambitions. But before I proceed I will like to define ambition according to English dictionary:
I also had the ambition to become a Lawyer because I can argue with facts even as a small child! Even my siblings call me Barrister back then because of how I argue with facts.
At some point in my late 15, I had the ambition to become a Civil Engineer who will be constructing roads and bridges for the society!
I believe these are the core ambitions I had when growing up as a kid!
Currently, as at the time of writing this post and beyond, Am an undergraduate in the university pursuing the award of Bachelor of Science (B.sc.) degree in Computer Science and Informatics.

It was getting very hot this summer so I saw a lot of kids taking a bath today who were having a lot of fun so I wanted to share myself with them and with that I made a picture of them and so I can share with you and I love that these little ones are taking a bath and I made a picture of them in such a good way and I can share with you and I love it. Thank you for this contest. It sparks up glow on my mind. As a kid i had the desire to be an aircraft pilot. I loved the profession dearly.
They travel round the world , see different cities and cultures. And flying too is a wonderful experience. All this and more made me love being a pilot.
There's also a frightening side to the job, the air crashes. Sometimes it's had to have a survivor.
Although i never achieved it, i still love this great profession and those personnels on the job. Thank you .

When I was a child, I had many ambitions.I wanted to be a teacher because there is only one teacher who can teach us. A teacher teaches us the world and the hereafter.I wanted to be a good teacher who gives birth to good people in society.A teacher is a person who teaches a doctor, an engineer, a professor, a pilot, etc. The teacher is the entity that makes a person truly human.The teacher is the entity whose palace is a bird, but flies like a hawk. Teacher is a blessing. There is only one teacher which also teaches the doctor, the engineer and the pilot etc. because without a teacher a person cannot be successful.I am working hard to become a teacher and hopefully I will succeed in the future.I also want to teach children who cannot continue their education due to lack of money.I wanted to be a teacher in my childhood that people will remember even after I die.And in Alhamdulillah, I will succeed in fulfilling my desire.

When I was a child, I always wanted to be a librarian. Reading books always attract me. But I was not allowed to read story books during my childhood. I had to read my school books. I felt, if I can be a librarian, I can read story books entire day and nobody will stop me.
Moreover, I will be getting a salary for going to library. Oh! What a profession !!

The beautiful thing about a childhood dream is to be sure of your ability to achieve it at that age and to express yourself freely without being affected or thinking about the opinions of others around you, only expressing what comes to your mind and then deciding to achieve it. According to the situations that I saw at that age, at first I was very attached to my grandfather and he was very sick and there was no treatment for him, so my dream was to become a doctor for him, and then after he died I became very attached to pets. I dreamed of collecting them and building a house for them and taking care of them And of course they are talking animals, that's how I imagined. Then after I got a little older, my dream was to become like my father and to work in the army. I found a big dream and kept it until I entered high school here. I stayed with my mother after my father died, and my only interest was plants and nature. A very great comfort and my dream has come true. You know what my passion was when I was little? You do not know. OK. I tell you right away: When I was little, I wanted to have a camera when I grew up, I wanted to draw beautiful pictures, I wanted to be able to sing. I even joined the choir at school for it, but the music teacher kicked me out because my voice was terrible. I loved to draw and I drew beautiful pictures until high school. I slowed down drawing in high school. When I finished high school, I bought a camera and started taking pictures. Believe me I take great pictures and I'm glad I bought that camera. I'll add one for you here too. And finally, my imagination is very wide and I've heard it since I was little because I can make up stories that no one would think of. And if someone asks me to write or tell a story about a topic, that story is ready as soon as I hear the question. It's a talent, maybe a gift. I don't know, but it works great for me. About the question of "What is my ambition when I was a child? Well, this made me think and started to dig down my memory. Yes, my ambition when I was a child is to become a Flight Stewardess so I can travel to different countries and discover their culture and see the beauty of each country. When I finished my High-school year and proceeded to College my parents did not want me to become a Flight stewardess because they are afraid or have thought that riding an airplane is a very dangerous job. They are afraid if the airplane will crashed or will be hi-jacked. They want me to take an Engineering degree preferably Industrial Engineering. And yes, I followed my parents desire to become one, because i know our parents knows what is best for their children. Even though I am an Industrial Engineer, I got my ambition or my dreams come true; to travel to different countries but not as a stewardess but my work requires me for our product exhibits. I have traveled to few countries like Singapore, Hongkong and China and I am still grateful for it. Everything happens for a reason.

When I Crayon was in class 5th to till my class 12th, my dream was to become a doctor.
The reason behind this is when I was a child, I used to think that I would make medicines and gives a treatment for free of cost so that it will easy for poor people to take medications for themselves and for their family for free of costs. Maybe I thought that because I saw some people died just because they won't have enough money for treatment 😒.
So I will serve people as a doctor for free of cost where they don't have to pay anything and I wanted to create a beautiful life with a duty in my own hospital which is made my me.
But unfortunately all the dreams of all people are never fulfilled. Some dreams remain unfulfilled forever. 😒 So my dream didn’t come true. In fact, I think that the reality actually changes everything. Coz I think dreams never come true.
