The future of Android

To add to my career, I would love to learn how to make mobile applications for Android phones. This skill is often referred to as android programming. It's of real value now and would be even more valuable in the future as the number of android phone users increases rapidly.
Statistica suggest that "the number of smartphone subscriptions worldwide today surpasses six billion and is forecast to further grow by several hundred million in the next few years. China, India, and the United States are the countries with the highest number of smartphone users". Source
this suggests that the market for this product is steaming up.

Why the interest

Based on such projections, this users will definitely need apps to solve various problems, the existing users are already creating a huge demand for apps like games, tutorials, productivity tools and customised applications. Lookin at the future market for developers of android apps, I really wish I could have the skill, I wish I could develop android applications and include it on the Google Play Store.

Effort Towards The Goal

• Based on my findings, I might be using Android studio to create this applications.
• I have a laptop with resources that can support android studios Or any other software that would be used.
• I have had to watch some YouTube videos on Android programming. I am still looking for a tutor who will teach me.

Limiting factors

• Learning from known institutions like Aptech is expensive.
• Individuals with the knowledge a few where I live, most of them have moved to more developed places like Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt were there is some demand for the skill.
• The software currently use for creating android apps may change with time requiring more training and update.

Conclusion

I will love to learn android programming but I have not been able to acquire the skill yet due to some constrains, and I am still working on getting the skill.
