Stored for the winter

Monday morning I continued work on sorting out the costs for the various aspects of this building project, while I did the week’s laundry. At lunch time, I again dressed warmly and headed to the barn for more fence repair.

It seemed a lot easier this time taking out the post put in upside down and putting it in correctly. It was a tad warmer than Sunday and I was able to work right along, getting all 3 finished and put away. Boy, am I glad that job is behind me!

My husband brought in 2 truckloads of leaves. All were dry except these 4 bags. My son and I will organize more pallets to store the dry ones on Tuesday afternoon when it is raining.

The “back 40”

Tuesday my helper friend will collect 2 soil tests before the rain resumes and I’ll get them sent out. More work on the analysis for the project also. It’s to be a rainy day.

Wednesday is to be the last good day, but barely making it to 50F. I hope to get out with my intern and clean out all the dead plants from the heavy frosts in the New Herb garden. After Wednesday it’s either raining, cold and in the 30’s daytime, or possibly snowing. So it looks like outside work will come to a screeching halt.
