Free Range Chickens - Better Here or There?

I really love that photo with the chicken and boots. It has a vintage feel to it!

I've learned to shake out my boots every morning because I've found things in there that my feet don't want to connect with including snakes and chicken poo. We don't have the second issue anymore because the hens have their own special fenced pasture to roam now. Too many things like to eat them around here!

We leave all of our "work" shoes outside and I find all kinds of stuff in them. The biggest thing is my 2 year old daughter loves to stick toys and other odd objects into my shoes.

Our chickens don't get on the porch much but they do escape our pasture and make it to my neighbors garden from time to time. Don't mess with old people and their gardens!

haha.I am still finding Lego from when we had little boys visiting this summer. Super cute :)

For sure! I shake my boots out every time.

I have found scorpions in my boots before. No risk taking anymore. I found a scorpion in a shirt that had been folded on a closet shelf for a while. Took 3 stings before stripping the shirt off as fast as I could!

ah ... now I remember why I live in a cold climate! That must have hurt something awful. I don't know much about scorpions but I am sure glad we don't have to deal with them.

Aaaand now I remember why I like 5 months of cold winter 😨
