Oceans In Crisis And What We Can Do About It According To World Economic Forum

in hypocrisy •  7 years ago

Isn't it so easy to tweet and be done with it? WEF is telling us that we are responsible for millions of plastic bottles in the oceans. What hypocrisy again. Did we force the industry to take the water away from us, bottle it in poisonous stuff and sell it to us?

The free market does not care about the environment. Public pressure is needed to make them behave better, but it may mean less cheap products. We should just buy less in general

Exactly. Buy less, shop smarter. In the times when I was young we didn't have 5% of all the packaging that we have now. We don't buy the goods. We buy packaging with a bit of goods in it.
