SEELE: BUILDING A SCALABLE AND BETTER BLOCKCHAIN

The introduction of blockchain technology in this current era has solved many underlying problems, as can be seen in;
a. The disruption of the centralized systems thus ensuring users are in control of their personal data,
b. The introduction of digital currency thus ensuring users can initiate transactions anywhere in the world and host of many others.
Yes, blockchain technology has succeeded in changing the way we see or handle money as well as the way our personal data is being saved. The first generation blockchain was introduced by Bitcoin (blockchain 1.0) which ushered in the world of digital currencies, while the second generation blockchain was introduced by Ethereum (blockchain 2.0) ushering in the use of smart contracts.
Even with the outstanding features of these blockchains, a study has shown that these generations of blockchain technology are still plagued with issues which tend to limit the true effectiveness of the crypto space, in the long run, posing as a barrier to the full adoption of blockchain technology on a global scale.
Many blockchain companies or developers have tried solving this issues associated with the first and second generation of blockchain technology which has led to the creation of other blockchains termed as third generation blockchain (blockchain 3.0) but yet these underlying issues are yet to be solved.
In a nutshell, the current blockchains are not scalable.
In order to solve the issues associated with the current blockchains led a team of professionals into creating an outstanding and unique project known as SEELE.

WHAT IS SEELE?

Seele aims to build a scalable blockchain thus ushering in blockchain 4.0, which aims to solve issues associated with the current blockchains.
First, what is scalability? To a layman or rather in simple terms, scalability can be seen as the process of enhancing a system or platform so as to meet up with the ever demanding needs of its users.
The word SEELE is a German word for "SOUL" which refers to the soul of a human as well as his ideas, actions etc, thus Seele means "innovating a new era of value Internet".
Seele aims to build a platform where production of value Internet will be on the increase, thus promoting the development of blockchain technology which in the long run opens future opportunities and productivity.

WHY SEELE?

Seele was created out of the urgent need to solve the problems associated with the current blockchains thus opening up more adoption of the crypto space.
Like earlier pointed out, the first and second generation of blockchain technology (Bitcoin and Ethereum) has opened up many opportunities in this current era. The problems associated with them led to the development of other blockchains, but yet the underlying problems were not solved.
The incompatibility of the consensus algorithms associated with these current blockchains leads to lack of;
i. Security,
ii. Scalability,
iii. Efficiency, thus forming what is known as "SSE PARADOX".
The big question is HOW?
A study has shown that consensus algorithm such as;

  1. Proof-of-Work (PoW) successfully meets the safety requirements as well as scalability of blockchain but failed to provide a computational overhead.
  2. Proof-of-Stake (PoS) successfully provided an efficient blockchain but failed to attain scalability nor provide a secure blockchain.
  3. Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) provided a scalable and efficient blockchain but failed to provide the needed security,
  4. Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT) provided the needed security as well as power consumption but its shortcoming is when there is a very large node network overhead occurs.
  5. Hashgraph successfully meets the requirements for scalability and efficiency but failed to provide a sufficient security.
  6. Algorand provided security, scalability and power consumption but its shortcomings are, unpredictable convergence delay occurring as a result of stricter requirements on the overall connectivity of the network.
    One might pause and ponder, and start asking certain questions. One consensus algorithm succeeds in one or two aspects and failed in the other, what is the demerits of such failure?
    The failure in one aspect or the other leads to the following;
    a. Lack of large-scale performance,
    b. Lack of the necessary tools to support different business scenarios,
    c. Lack of the necessary tools to exchange information or share assets across different blockchain platform.

Thus, there is a great need for a blockchain which solves all these underlying issues with one stroke, as different consensus algorithm fails to deliver.

SOLUTION OFFERED BY SEELE

In order to promote a wider application of blockchain and Value Internet, Seele aims to solve the problems associated with the current blockchains. These problems are found in the core value of blockchain, core issues such as;
a. Consensus algorithms,
b. Ecological topologies,
c. Value Internet Protocols as well as Underlying network protocols,
d. Collaborative convergence etc.
By utilizing as well as scrutinizing the merits and demerits associated with the current consensus algorithm, Seele proposes a new feature known as E-differential agreement (EDA) which is based on micro-real numbers.
This EDA works by transforming the problems associated with the current consensus into a system whereby there is lack of concurrence in time thereby providing the following;
a. Processing of requests,
b. Sorting of data in the large-scale environment,
c. A very strong robustness used for overall connectivity of the network,
d. Used for non-fully connected networks as well as for the normal operation of network connection having less than 50% of the proportion of the entire system.
The Advantages of EDA;
a. Linear scalability, that is performance increases linearly with the node size,
b. As the node size increases, the convergence leads to a faster and better performance.
c. 100K TPS (Transaction Per Second) being achieved in the 100K node network environment thus leading a decreased (to several seconds) transaction confirmation.

FEATURES OF SEELE

  1. Neural Consensus Algorithm: As compared with pBFT, Seele proposes this algorithm so as to improve the fault tolerance associated with pBFT from 33% to 40% without reducing performance.

  2. Heterogeneous Forest (HF) Network: Seele uses this to create good scalability potential used for wide variety of application scenarios. This is made of subnets, with each subnet handling different service scenarios independently as well as interacting with each other via a cross-chain protocol.

  3. Value Transport Protocol (VTP) and Value HTTP (VHTTP Protocol): VTP is based on HF Network, thus covering the uniform Identification on the chain as well as routing strategy for assets discovery. While VHTTP is used for the exchange of values between on-chain and off-chain.

  4. Quick Value Internet Connection (QVIC): This finds uses in the wide-area network and works by conducting targeted optimization for;
    a. Network jitter,
    b. Packet loss,
    c. Other unforeseen circumstances causing instability.

CONCLUSION

By solving the problems associated with different aspects of the blockchain, Seele aims to promote the development of blockchain technology and value-added Internet which is widely used.
Seele token SEELE is currently an ERC20 token built on Ethereum blockchain, but when the main network goes live, all token will be mapped. SEELE is a utility token with a total supply of 1,000,000,000 and it's used to charge transaction fees as well as the rewarding of participated nodes. With the completion of the token sale, Seele proceeds in accordance with the roadmap.
