Carport, like a garage, but for fancy folks. In the carport lies an exercise bike, on its side because everyone knows the only way to get rid of something is to tap it. Then it's susceptible to Assassinate. Burying a little M:tG humor in there.

The exercise bike, on its side, waiting to be taken away. People with carports donate things and junk things. They don't bother with garage sales. After all, they don't have garages. They have carports. And so, on this particularly clever day in June, a girl named Chuck walked by and saw the clearly under-used piece of exercise equipment. She had a sneaking suspicion that no one would notice if she just wandered away with it, and she had a plan. The garage door... excuse me, carport door was suspiciously wide open, and the car wasn't in the... port. So she tested her theory. Going up to the door bell, she prepared her "I was just in the neighborhood and I noticed..." speech. But after a 5 minute wait and then another 3 minutes of sneaking, she felt assured, that, though the neighborhood watch would surely consider her to be a suspicious character, they wouldn't really reach maximum wariness until she took off her Albert Einstein mask (which was thematically appropriate, as you'll see in a moment.)

She did it. She went into the garage, and, though it was cumbersome... like, seriously cumbersome... she managed, inch by inch, to push the bike onto the sidewalk.

Once there, she called Miguel, who has a truck. They took it to their friend's garage (not a carport) and began the plan. Each day, as they wandered, they picked up: mis-disposed-of car batteries, wiring, all the needs. And they built themselves a bike-operated generator and attached it to a computer that they'd also cobbled together. Using that computer to mine bitcoins (or Steem, as your imagination prefers), they finally raised enough to submit their college application fees. They got into Yale, Oxford, UCLA, and the University of Washington. To make a long story short, their researches upended physics, like Einstein's did, and they led us into an era of clean energy that let humanity reach to the Andromeda Nebula.
