Taking pictures of the Prickly Pear cactus flower I got stung by a wasp twice.

I had seen the wasp in front of the cactus while taking the pictures. Going around to the other side to take a different view is when the bugger got me twice, behind the knee and on the calf.
Here's proof with the phone camera as I'm trying to slap at the wasp. Wound up tossing the phone on the grass as the wasp went down my boot.

I had even taken a picture of the wasp on the Butterfly weed flowers....

So far this season I have gotten a couple dozen tick bites a few chigger bites that are worse cause they persist longer and now the wasp. Luckily not many mosquito bites.
Some days I just feel like the Human Pincushion......Mommy, mommy

Ouchy, I am always worried about getting stung by Bees or wasps, I am allergic to bee stings and they swell up so big, but I still take the risk now and again and I hope I am not tempting fate saying this but I have been lucky and not been stung for about 20 years now

Oh, no! You poor thing. I can feel your pain. There must be something about you that the bad buggers like. I had chiggers when I was 10 years old and had them all over my body. The itch drove me crazy and it was the worse summer in my life. Be careful out there Mike! Hugs!
