Sorry, but that is a delusional and idealogical position. Bitcoin was the first, but there are many way better coins and projects now. Since Bitcoin is no longer fulfilling its original purpose to be peer-to-peer money, and in general is now more expensive to transact in that traditional banking or Paypal, it's time for Bitcoin to move over.

Actually NIST has updated the issue in question, so do not be sick anymore. Here is the proof check for yourself. Too many people messaged them...it seems bitcoins anti-fragility has no limits.

8.1.2 Bitcoin Cash (BCH or BCC1) In 2017, Bitcoin users adopted an improvement proposal for Segregated Witness (known as SegWit, where transactions are split into two segments: transactional data, and signature data) through a soft fork. SegWit made it possible to store transactional data in a more efficient form. However, a group of users had different opinions on how Bitcoin should evolve – and developed a hard fork of the Bitcoin blockchain titled Bitcoin Cash. Rather than implementing the SegWit changes, the developers of Bitcoin Cash decided to increase the maximum blocksize (additionally the developers made changes to other aspects of the system, such as the difficulty adjustment algorithm). When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

Omg the ticker situation, you know how many people bought BitConnect coin thinking it was bch on hitbtc!? It caused a massive jump in price briefly when it listed, silly how the listings are controlled by the exchange. Bitcoin is also listed as xbt?wtf?

I agree. This is some b.s. When I first read this supposed "finding", I knew this was some more disinformation from the mainstream media. They are just trying to get their hands on more of the legacy BTC. No worries. We will succeed and make bigger and gigantic strides in our community.

I had saw a few analyst on a livestream one day that claimed Bitcoin Cash closely mirrored Satoshi's original dream for Bitcoin. In my opinion with brand recognitiong and being traded on the futures market now it will be some time before any other coin will knock Bitcoin from its number 1 spot. The exchanges up until recently have been set up around Bitcoin. When you put fiat in a exchange most go through BTC then trade it to alts or hold it. The crypto market is still in the early stages I believe. I think one day a project may come along and take the top spot from BTC but for now it is king. Bitcoin is to crypto what the USD is to the petrol market. I am not a professional trader and only been trading crypto for like 9 months. I watch alot of your Ytube vids and like the content. Thought I would say hello here and comment. It was great though to get matching Bitcoin Cash for the little bit of BTC I held at the time. Its been alot of fun and nice bull run up until now. Personally I like the Segwit coins and its going to be interesting to see what happens with the lightning network. Its going to be a very interesting next couple of years for sure. I think we are at the beginning of something special here with Steem as well. I ll be transferring more in as I become familiar on how the platform works and get a handle on using the tools here. This is a free speech safe haven and I love that part of Steemit. Sorry to ramble in and out. I hope all Steemians have a great 2018.
