I was reminded by this video clip not to judge others by their looks, everyone has a story.....

Good morning Steemit,

Facebook has its good points and one of those is the sharing of youtube video clips like this one I am posting. I did not want to click on it because I was in a rush but my finger pressed the little arrow before my brain caught up. Then I listened to the words spoken by Father Gregory, I was entertained, moved and emotional.

I think that this message is going to stay reverberating in my brain today, it was a message that I needed to hear and be reminded that underneath the facade of make-up, glamour, tattoos, piercings etc we are all just trying to fit in, be accepted and be loved. We are all doing the best we can on this harsh and dense Earth, trying to figure out our purpose and at the same time showing kindness and compassion to others.

No-one is any better than anyone else, we are all on a journey of learning.

Love and blessings

Cheers - thank you for reading and for sharing

Howdy angiemitchell! wow that was powerful! Is that group in Australia, the Homeboys? I didn't think of Australia as being a big place for gangs.

Hi janton, you got me thinking and so I looked up Father Gregory and here is the information I found online. he is American.

Gregory Joseph Boyle, S.J. (born May 19, 1954) is an American Roman Catholic priest of the Jesuit order. He is the founder and Director of Homeboy Industries and former pastor of Dolores Mission Church in Los Angeles.

Howdy angiemitchell! oh so he's in L.A.! oh wow, well we need that kind of ministry desperately here, that's wonderful. Thanks for that information.

So true! We are all equal and all connected at the most fundamental level. What an inspiring story, this gave me goosebumps. Stories like this make concepts relatable and understandable.
btw I am starting a blog with the same central message which I think would be of interest to you

Hi i@nfinite-self your blog does sound interesting, I will look it up.
