Yesterday I wrote about a poor cockatoo caught in a super cell storm out in the country. Guess what, great news, the cockatoo is recovering thanks to a kind hearted farmer. I still feel bad that I laughed at this poor little fellow.
When farmer, Damien Tessmann first saw him he thought he was dead. It was a very fierce storm that wiped out his crops, poor guy, it is a tough life on the land.
Here is the tatterist cockatoo I have every seen.
Michael Tessmann realised he was still alive, he could not fly but he still had a bit of go in him, rescued him and fed him corn. The good news is that this cockatoo has made very good progress.
Michael said that he does not know if this cockatoo will fly again, so if he does not then a very big aviary is going to be built. What a lucky cockatoo to find a kind hearted farmer to nurse him back to good health. Usually farmers and cockatoos are logger heads, these birds eat the farmer's corn in the paddocks.
Farmers and cockatoos don't normally get on, "They're a bloody nuisance the best of times."
All is well that ends well.
Cheers

oh that's really a great story angiemitchell! It lets us know that not all Aussies are cold blooded selfish morons! lol. Just teasing, actually I can't even think of a bad Aussie.
So he just found that cockatoo after the storm and it's tame to pick up?
